Mickey marries a woman he has known for three days (Hope - played by Maxine Bahns). Hope was a passenger in Mickey's taxi who asked to be driven to New Orleans. Though they are married, Hope fails to tell her husband about her plans to move to Paris, and further complications are added by Hope's friend who appears to be in love with her.
The link between the two brothers is Heather who although is Francis' mistress she was also Mickey's old flame. As a result, both become competitive. Neither understand women due to their father's influence.
~~COST~~ One plus side to this DVD for me is that it only cost me £2 from Woolies. On this basis I think I can safely say I got what I paid for!

~~CONCLUSION~~ When I first viewed this movie on DVD I spent most of the time wondering where I'd seen this film before, and near the end it dawned on me. I remembered it being on t.v. but as it wasn't particularly interesting I hadn't been watching it properly.
I can't say I absolutely dislike the film and I have actually watched this DVD again, however it certainly isn't one of my favourites and I will only be watching it again when I want some background noise.
Advantages: Decent cast Disadvantages: Boring and pointless!
A guy is having an affair with his brother's ex-fiancée, and as a result leaves his wife, whilst the brother marries a girl he knows for three days. Sounds like there could be a decent film in there, but, well, this really wasn't, because, basically, that's it!
As a huge Diaz fan I was thoroughly disappointed with this effort, which seems to really get anywhere between the start and end. It's very drawn out and hard to sit through. Credit to Jennifer ... ...and was one of the few characters you could really feel any connection to. The rest of the cast are fairly forgettable, though, in fairness, I doubt any better could have been done with the script.
Not a lot of extras on the disk, though, that tends to be the case in a lot of slightly older films getting their DVD rerelease. The featurette is quite good, with a bit of insight in to the cast and behind the scenes stuff, the director commentary has ...

Advantages: Clever story and Good acting Disadvantages:
The film got a lot of press because of Jennifer Anniston making it one of her first film appearances but really the itdeserved the press for other reasons. A clever and ironic script by Writer/Director/Actor Edward Burns (of Saving Private Ryan fame) tells the amusing tale of two brothers and their love lifes featuring the breakdown of the elder brothers marriage due to an affair with the younger brothers ex fiancee (sounds complicated I know!). ...

Advantages: Helps in your child's learning and develpment. Disadvantages: cannot think one.
One of my good friends gave my daughter a copy of this DVD - Dora The Explorer - Rhymes and Riddles (Animated). My daughter then was one year old when she was given this DVD. This DVD was so wonderful because my daughter really enjoyed all the rhymes and riddles. She also enjoyed the colorful animation of this DVD and most of all she loved Dora's song "We did it". There is not a day that I do not let my daughter watch this DVD. This has been very helpful to her listening skills, memory and speech. Now that she is already 4 years old, she still loves to watch Dora The Explorer - Rhymes And Riddles. I am very happy about this DVD and I recommend this one to all the moms out there to have a copy. This is so great. ...
Advantages: Great for children Disadvantages: one semi bad word in movie
My mother bought me this movie on VHS when I was a child and I watched it all of the time. I bought my daughter the dvd two years ago and she still watches it. This is one of the best disney movies I have seen. The storyline for the movie is great for a child's imagination. It is a fairytale that many little girls would love. I have not met one girl yet that has not loved this movie. The only thing negative I can think of to say about the movie is that the villian in the movie says a word I would consider not to be appropriate for children. I have no idea why they would do that in a movie for children but I never even realized it until I was much older. ...
Advantages: genuine comical elements Disadvantages: somehow sad at the same time
. I personally felt that playing such a highly comical role could be quite difficult, but Robin Williams played not only the comical role, but he handled the old woman's role to perfection. I would genuinely recommend this movie to you in order to see Williams trudging around in the bodysuit which would open new avenues for other such movies as Big Mama. I also loved the various expressions on Sally Field's face throughout the movie. I believe that she is one actress who can certainly take close-up shots in any situation because she handles the expressions with an incredible mastery.
DVD Extras include:
* Director's Commentary
* Behind the Scene footage
* Makeup test/ Application trailers
* Interview with Chuck Jones
This is certainly a movie to recommend. I love the themes and the realistic depiction of divorce ...

"...A funnier, more polished variation on actor/director Ed Burns' THE BROTHERS MCMULLEN..." -- 3 out of 4 stars (USA Today, p.8D, 23/08/1996)
"There's charm to burn in SHE'S THE ONE....[It is] endowed with a refreshing honesty and poignancy..." (Variety, 12/08/1996)
DVD Description
A pair of brothers--one a cabdriver, the other a Wall Street bigwig--try to work out the kinks in their relationships with their wives, their mistresses (at least one of them), their father, and, ultimately, each other. SHE'S THE ONE is a charming romantic comedy from the director of THE BROTHERS McMULLEN, with a soundtrack by Tom Petty.
