Advantages: none Disadvantages: loads of scenes and music scores have been cut out
this is the only fools and horses complete collection boxset but in my eyes it isnt because loads of scenes have been cut and musical scores changed or cut out and laughter tracks added onto episodes that didnt originally have a laughter track. so its not really the complete collection is it with all these things changed and added the episode a royal flush is the one that been edited the most loads of scenes have been cut and a laughter track added wich spoils the episode completely. i would strongly recommend anyone that want to see all the episodes in all their glory is to tape them off uk gold its better than this so called complete collection that the bbc have released im still waiting for the genuine complete collection. ...
Advantages: Well acted, Great Book Adaptation Storylines, Fun for All Ages Disadvantages: Each Movie is About Three Hours Long
be ignored by the overall storyline.
I was slightly disapointed by this third story since it really didn't go by the books my L.M Montgomery at all. The first two movies are at least based on her books , but this movie was almost entirely made up. I was hoping the third movie would follow the other books about Anne as she is grown up with Children.
Still, the movie was well made and entertaining. It was good to see the actors again, and the costumes anad attention to detail from the World War I era are fantastic. It's not as good as the first two movies, but well worth a watch.
******Conclusion*****
All these movies in the BoxSet; Anne of Green Gables, The Sequel , and The Continuing Story, are so much fun. Children around the age of 7 and up will enjoy the first one. While children more around the age of 10 and up would ...

This triple feature by three acclaimed directors presents THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, MIDNIGHT COWBOY, and THE STRAIGHT STORY in one specially priced box set. See individual titles for more details. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION: In writer-director Frank Darabont's prison drama, Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover in the late 1940s. However, only Andy knows that he didn't commit the crimes. Sent to Shawshank Prison to do hard time, Andy--a taciturn banker in the outside world--has to learn to get by in the brutal, cutthroat confines of prison life. His quiet strength slowly earns the respect of his fellow inmates--most notably, Red (Morgan Freeman)--and even much of the prison staff. But Andy's seemingly stoic acceptance of his unjust imprisonment hides a fierce determination for freedom. Based on the novella RITA HAYWORTH AND SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION by Stephen King, Darabont's intriguing adaptation is easily one of the finest films of the 1990s. MIDNIGHT COWBOY: John Schlesinger's Oscar-winning film, which features brilliant performances by Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman, brought an unusually gritty realism to the screen and offered a then-rare portrait of New York's street scene. Joe Buck (Voight), a male prostitute from Texas, heads to Manhattan where he hopes to find plenty of wealthy women willing to pay for the services of a handsome man. When he arrives, the naive country boy befriends Ratso Rizzo (Hoffman), a tubercular, homeless con artist who dreams of moving to Florida. As they go about trying to get the money Ratso needs, the two men see and confront all the seediness, corruption, and cruelty that flourish in the big city. THE STRAIGHT STORY: David Lynch's first foray into the land of Disney and G-ratings is a surprisingly gentle, hopeful, and irony-free crowd pleaser. The film tells the true story of Alvin Straight (Richard Farnsworth), a 73-year-old man who journeys from Laurens, Iowa, to Mt. Zion, Wisconsin, on a John Deere lawn mower in order to visit his dying older brother, Lyle (Harry Dean Stanton). The estranged brothers haven't spoken in years because of their stubborn pride, but Lyle's recent stroke convinces Alvin that now is the time to make amends. Along the way he meets a host of interesting characters--including a pregnant runaway teenager, a sad World War II veteran, and a sympathetic priest--affecting them deeply with his unflinching spirit and belief in the power of familial love.
