Shaun of the Dead is one of the funniest films I've seen at the cinema for a long time. It has a very good mix of action and humour and does very well at parodying other zombie movies. Of course I won't ruin the story for you, but if you've got this far, you've probably realised that its got something to do with zombies. And you'd be right. There are alot of zombies in this film, but i think they can be forgiven for their wooden acting. The main characters however (the ones who aren't zombies) certainly give a much better performance, with each one at the top of their form. Some of the jokes and scenes are absolutely hilarious and i certainly have not laughed out loud like that in the cinema for a long time. Another pro of the film is that it is British. And it is true that one of the things that we are good at is taking the piss out of other things. This film is also not shy about the fact that it is British, like a number of other films that have been released recently.
This is in general a very good film and I fully recommend it. Stagger along to the cinema!!
