Advantages: ITS BRILLIANT....NUFF SAID Disadvantages: Not likely
...of Oliver Stones vision is immediately honoured with pin sharp picture and sound, and whilst there are no real extras to speak of...who needs them when the film is this good.
I know Stone's later films based on the vietnam era went downhill, but in all honest if someone can advise me of a war film (always the best type of film for true portrayals of real people in my view) which is as powerful and moving, getting you involved in the moral fight of the characters as well as keeping you on the edge of your seat during the action scenes.....PLEASE TELL ME
No more can be said.....if you have never seen this film and have access to the benefits of a full home cinema setup.....BUY THIS FILM....you wont regret it...

In regard to the special effects, the movies themselves were filmed in the early 90s, however the extras and props are all excellent, I believe all were sets were on location and in Sharpe's Waterloo there is a 'bloody big battle', possibly tipped with Sharpe's finest moment where he gets to see Napoleon.

Advantages: High kicking action, guns, moves and sharp wit Disadvantages: The female co-star is really annoying
...John Carpenter gets to do a kung-fu movie, where could it possibly go wrong. This is a rollercoaster martial arts film about one trucker’s fight with an oriental crime lord with supernatural powers, to save a girl and to honour a long time friend – but most of all – to get his truck back. Great one liners and catchphrases are provided by Kurt Russel, a favourite actor for John Carpenter, along with appearances from Dennis Dun (Midnight Caller) and Kim Cattral. The effects are great, the fights are over the top and all the better for it and the wit is as sharp as a katana....
