Advantages: Entertaining the whole way through Disadvantages: Slightly on the budget side
Last night Behind enemy lines was on Film Four and I thought I?d give it ago, I had never heard of the film before and so did not know what to expect, I always give the info on the TV a read before getting into a new film as unfortunately I am one of the Biased people of the world who find a film more worth trying if it has good actors and a good synopsis. Judging a book by its cover and all that (slap on the wrists).
First impressions
Before the film had started I had my doubts, the cast of actors includes Owen Wilson, and after seeing more than a fair share of his films, I was doubtful to whether he could pull off what was being described on the TV info as an ?action/thriller? I have never seen him in a serious role and although this gave doubts it also intrigued me into seeing the film and made me want to see if he would fail ...
Advantages: One of it's kind, the best of it's kind Disadvantages: Special effects not brilliant
of historical information while watching.
The actors themselves include the renowned Sean Bean and one of the UK's best folk singers, John Tams, who even writes the theme song!

In regard to the special effects, the movies themselves were filmed in the early 90s, however the extras and props are all excellent, I believe all were sets were on location and in Sharpe's Waterloo there is a 'bloody big battle', possibly tipped with Sharpe's finest moment where he gets to see Napoleon.
Overall, brilliant! I cannot wait to watch the final DVD.
If you want a sample, why not ...
Introduction ~
Yet another world war two war film except this is one with a difference. When we think of world war two we most likely think of England, Germany and America. But Russia actually paid a huge part in the war, that is often left out of films. Enemy at the Gates is about the war between Russia and Germany. Enemy at the gates is very unusual in the way that it is a film from the USSR’s point of view. To get an idea of how unlikely that would have been 20 years ago, imagine a Hollywood epic about the heroic lads of Iraq or Cuba. The exclusivity of what it takes for a story to get a greenlight in Hollywood is why there are still so many great true stories yet to be told, and Enemy at the Gates, depending upon how truthful you think it is (varying authors and experts dispute the existence of Tania, the heroine played by ...
