The godfather (Robert De Niro voice) ... ...fleeing from a great white shark when suddenly an anchor falls and hits the shark on the head. Everyone thinks Oscar killed the shark and soon he is truned into a celebrity. Oscar becomes known as the 'shark slayer'. When The Godfather shark finds out the Oscar killed his son he vows to find him and kill him. Will Oscar come clean and become a nobody again?

Overview ------------ Shark Tale has an all star voice over cast including the likes of Will Smith and Angelina Jolie. It is another animated movies along the lines of Shrek and Finding Nemo. I had high expectations of this movie but was a little disappointed.
Cast ------ Lenny (Jack Black voice) is a young vegetarian shark who really wants to please his farther The godfather (Robert De Niro voice) is Lennys dad Oscar (Will Smith voice) is the main character who works as a tongue scrapper at the whale wash. He wants a better life but will he get it and if he does will he like it when he gets there? Angie (voice Renée Zellweger) quite fanices Oscar but is rather plain. Lola (voice Angelina Jolie) the temptress who is only friends with people she can get something from.
Plot ----- Oscar works at the whale wash for Mr Sykes. He is a nobody who dreams someday of becoming a somebody. Oscar is seen fleeing from a great white shark when suddenly an anchor falls and hits the shark on the head. Everyone thinks Oscar killed the shark and soon he is truned into a celebrity. Oscar becomes known as the 'shark slayer'. When The Godfather shark finds out the Oscar killed his son he vows to find him and kill him. Will Oscar come clean and become a nobody again?
Overall --------- This film is funny and has a moral message which is great but i feel they could have done more with it than they have. The film is quite predictable and although funny i feel it needed to be more witty. Definately worth a watch but not sure if id buy it again.

DVD Description
Will Smith brings hip-hop zest to the voice of Oscar, a fast-talking everyfish who rejects his life at the whale wash and longs for fortune and fame in this animated film from Dreamworks. A combination of FINDING NEMO and GOODFELLAS, here sharks are old-school gangsters who prey on the local citizenry and hang out in the wreck of the Titanic. Martin Scorsese does the voice of Mr. Sykes, Oscar's blowfish boss, who owes head Shark Don Lino (Robert De Niro) a lot of clams. Don Lino wants to turn over his reign to his two sons, but youngest Lenny (Jack Black) is a closet vegetarian. The plot thickens when Oscar takes credit for the accidental death of Lenny's brother, and suddenly finds the fame and fortune he's been seeking, only it's based on the lie that he's 'the shark slayer'. It's tough not to like this spunky fish story, especially with Scorsese and De Niro verbally one-upping each other in some hilarious bits. Also noteworthy: a pair of hilariously mellow Rastafarian jellyfish (Ziggy Marley and Doug E. Doug) and Peter Falk as an old Tiger Shark who hangs around the Titanic crooning 'My Heart Will Go On'. Renee Zellweger and Angelina Jolie are the females--one pure of heart, one a 'fish fatale'-- battling over Oscar's affection. In addition to all that, there should be enough goofy humor, action, and goofing to keep the kids riveted.
