Advantages: Fast pacy spy adventure, with great music and some equally great stunts. Disadvantages: Stunts a bit far fetched - but you expect that with this sort of film.
Mission Impossible (1996)
We just felt in the mood for an older movie, but an excellent film all the same to watch as a family, as pickings are a bit slim at the moment. My children picked it for us to watch as a family.
What's it all about?
Of course the film is based upon the same set up used in the television series of the same name. Having said this, I have not watched any of the original series as this was before my time.
The film is a secret agent movie, with a group of agents given the task of going to Prague to stop a top secret list of agents, passing into the hands of traitors. The group are told to walk away if the mission fails and that their bosses will not admit to knowing them if they are captured.
The mission does go awry and it seems that all of the agents are killed, all except for Ethan Hunt (Tom ...
Advantages: New view of romance, good story and some breathtaking scenes! Disadvantages: Low budget film, some silly scenes and lack of special effects

One night . . . I wasn?t able to sleep . . . it was exceedingly hot and clammy, the mosquitoes were sucking my blood cheerfully while I was itching and scratching like a cat contaminated with fleas!
Therefore, I looked for the remote control that was hidden by one of my little monkeys and I started to look through the TV channels looking for a decent film to watch and forget about my bruised skin from the bites!
Ah . . . a film had just started! The tile grabbed my attention so I tuned in and concentrated!

I watched Blood Diamond last night and it was an absolutely amazing film that was completely absorbing and gripping. It is a 2006 action/adventure drama film co-produced and directed by Edward Zwick, director of Glory and The Last Samurai. It stars Leonado DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou. The film was put forward for five Academy Awards of which included Best Actor (DiCaprio) and Best Supporting Actor (Hounsou)
I admire Leonardo DiCaprio for his acting abilities he is a first class actor who is able to get deep into the character. As a character actress myself I know it is not easy to dig deep into a character that is so emotionally challenging as DiCaprio played.
