Well i can only start this review with a BIG LOLL.. Its a Stephen Chow film, well what can you expect except for total bad ass Kung fu and total butt kicking action along with comedy. The story starts with "Golden Leg" Fung a player who is a exceptional soccer player in the 1980s gets bribed into not shooting the penalty kick properly. This results in angry crowd rushing into the feild and breaking his leg who are actually paid by his team mate Hung to do so. This results in the tragic end of his career. One day Fung leaves Hung's office and wanders on the street and meets up with Sing {Stephen Chow} suddenly, who is trying to preach the advantages of the ancient art, Kung Fu. He tries to explain his way of spreading knowledge about Kung Fu which includes parking a cart, maintaining balance after slipping and cutting trees which infact is a funny way. Unconvinced by Sings sayings, Fung throws a beer can at Sing and inturn, Sing kicks it, making it fly high in the sky and it vanishes. Later, He finds a crack in a wall, and discovers that it is the same can, kicked by Sing, which has caused that crack. When he pulls the can out of the wall, Fung finds that Sing is fighting with a group of thugs alone. Seeing this, Fung convinces Sing to join him in a soccer team, and Sing likes the idea. Convinced by this, Sing gets to unite his friends who had learned Kung Fu with him. And at the same time, he meets Mui, a girl, who uses Tai chi to make sweet buns. Despite her dirty appearance, Sing visits her daily and they soon get attached to each other. The Kung Fu brothers after getting reunited after a little denial, face a match against a group of local thugs. The thugs instead of playing fair, beat up the brothers. When the game seems to be lost, the powers of the other brothers awaken and they beat the local thugs like piece of cake. After the sucessful redemption of their powers, they enter the main events, winning them one by one. during the final match, Hungs team "The team evil" faces off against The shaolin team. The evil team is on drugs, and have attained super human powers because of that. It is because of this, the goal keeper of shaolin team gets brutally injured and is replaced by one of the other players. Iron shirt the now goal keeper also gets injured and the team falls short of one player. It is at this time that Mui shows up and takes the place of goal keeper. In the final attack, Team Evil's striker leaps into the sky and summons dark demonic energy, turning the ball into a glowing orb. Mui as knowing tai chi, whirls it back and forms a Ying Yang and spins the ball and passes it to Sing. Sing inturn, Gives his best shot to the ball, sending a devastating horzontal tornado, tearing the feild into half. Thus the Shaolin team wins the tournament. Hung gets stripped of title and is banned for the use of drugs. Well, according to me, the movies is worth the amount and is damn funny and hilarious. You can watch it not just once, but again and again and not even get bored.
