Review of Secret Of Shaolin Kung Fu DVD by  tomtolu007

Advantages: it is the best film which gives you the humour of what shaolin kung fu is made of
Disadvantages: it is shot in the local sense

...the film secret of shaolin kung fu will definetily turn any good film watcher on. it's humouring and sensitive. one can hradly stand up when it's been inserted in the player.my best friend told me that he missed out on his love while watching this ecxiting and almost intoxicating film. to be very frank the film is very exciting and when you watch it you will definitely get and derive the neccessary satisfaction you want there.the best film of it's time is the secret of shaolin kung fu and i assure any buyer that it's worth even more than the money used in buying it. the very best state of mind to watch it is specific. the not be pesimistic but optimistic about the film and i tell you solemly that youwill enjoy every bit of the film.... Review of The Shaolin Temple (Wide Screen) by  shintai88

Advantages: Jet li's first movie, rare, good story, history lesson
Disadvantages: None

...saviours daughter he goes to save her, only to encounter the warlord who was drunk, making his fighting style hard to defeat as he was using the drunken sword style, which leads to Jet Li developing the Drunken pole style to counter it. But soon after the Warlord sobers up and makes it harder for him to win leading him to retreat. The warlord arrives and invades the shaolin temple. and orders for jet li to be handed over, the head abbot refuses and is burnt alive, just as Jet li and his shaolin Comrades come to the rescue. The Dvd features, contain history of the shaolin temple, trailers of the movie and some of jet Li's newest work, and audio is in cantonese chinese, with english subs, and chapter selection options. Its also a collectors item for those who collect jet li movies. which makes it a must have for your collection, but either way... Read review

Bruce Lee Eat Your Heart Out......Or Not
Review of Shaolin And Wu Tang DVD by  borninblood

Advantages: Good Martial Arts Cheese
Disadvantages: Bad Quality, the subtitles

...I picked up the Shaolin & Wu Tang DVD from HMV a good while ago because it was £3 and I was looking for some unknown Martial Arts movies to watch. As you would image I wasn't really expecting anything from this movie, and like the saying goes, I got what I paid for. The movie starts of with some sort of display, nothing to do with the movie at all, except to perhaps introduce the viewer to some of the moves used in both the Shaolin and Wu Tang styles. The quality of the DVD is to be honest, rubbish - its like you are watching a 10 year old VHS in a 20 year old VHS player, very very grainy and in places very hard to watch. The sound isn't much better, the music would be decent enough (if a little cheesy) if it wasn't for the constant crackling throughout. **I think I should say as a side note now, the bad quality may have infact been...
