I was excited to get this through the letterbox and played it straight away. All the videos from her first three albums - shainia twain, the woman in me and come on over, were on the DVD, except “when”, apparently Shania did not like the video for this song so it was not included in it.
SONG LIST 1. what made you say tha 2. dance with the one that brought you 3. you lay a whole lot of love on me 4. whose made have you boots been under 5. any man of mine 6. the woman in me 7. if you're not in it for love 8. you win my love 9. no one needs to know 10. home ain't where his heart is 11. god bless the child 12. love gets me everytime 13 don't be stupid 14. you're still the one 15. honey, I'm home 16. from this moment on 17 that don't impress me much 18. man! i feel like a woman 19. you've got a way 20. come on over 21. rock this country
Individual songs can be accessed via the menu or all the songs can be played in one continuous go. The sound quality was good and each song comes with information about the year it was released and who directed the video. Some songs such as "dance with the one that brought you" and "what made you say that" are more country and western while others such as " that don't impress me much" are more pop.
The only slight disappointment was the fact that there wasn’t any extras on the DVD, just the songs. But then, this did not cost as much as a normal a DVD would have on initial release. About £15 if i recall. Readers may like to note that the VHS version only contains 16 songs.
Overall, I was glad of the purchase and still pop it in the DVD player now and again and is worth buying, especially if you are a Shania fan.
Advantages: Shania x 35 ! Disadvantages: Quite a few duplicates
.... That problem is underscored ( musical pun ?) by the fact that 9 songs are duplicated from one dvd to another - although the video settings are different.
Since I bought these online with a gift voucher, you might think I'm being a bit of a moan. However, I may have hesitated before buying these particular dvds if I had realised they overlapped just as much.
The concept of this 'Boxed Set' is poor in my view.
