Shanghai Noon is one of Jackie Chan's best movies ever! I have watched it about 5 times already and still want to watch it again!
The film gets of to an 'interesting' start with the director setting the story, it starts in China and you learn what the characters are (imperial guards) and of course you learn about princess pei pei.
Princess pei pei wants to leave the forbidden kingdom where she lives and accepts the help of a man in the city. Thinking that he is to help her she goes along with him.
When princess pei pei arrives at her destination in the west she finds out that she has been kidnapped for a ransom! The kidnappers want gold, and lots of it!
Three imperial guards are chosen to go and rescue the princess. Jackie Chan, an imperial guard, was not chosen, but forced them to let him go with them.
Next you see them on a train, heading for the west... when the local group of outlaws rob the train! One of the team of outlaws shot dead one of the Chinese men from the city. This was Chan's uncle so he was not happy at all and went after the outlaws on the train...
The train scene is excellent with fighting, stunts and the funniest bit is when the safe full of gold is blown out of the train and off a bridge!
Chan throws them off the train and continues his journey...
Meanwhile O'bannen the outlaw that becomes the main character is found by Chan buried in the sand in the desert up to his neck! Jackie Chan gives him some chopsticks to dig himself out! Then carries on his journey...
You see Chan trekking across snow capped mountains then to a river... where some Indians are attacking a boy from another tribe! In true Jackie Chan fashion Chan takes on all these Indians and of course defeats them. He goes off with the other Indian tribe whom he becomes friendly with and ends up marrying one of the women after a night of smoking a peace pipe! (Hilarious!)
Without going into too much detail now (I don’t want to ruin it!) here are a few things that happen along the way!
A BIG brawl in a western bar, most probably the best fight scenes Jackie Chan has ever made incorporating all the bar like items such as glasses, bottles, tables chairs and even a pair of deer antlers!
Drinking games! Chinese style (this part is so funny, really it is!)
One of my favourite parts is when Jackie is drunk and his horse has downed a whole bottle of strong whisky (hehehe) they jump off a balcony onto their horses and Chan’s horse collapses with him, Jackie is on the horse the wrong way round for a start and says 'What happened to my horse? Is it dead?" O'bannen says 'No Jackie but we are'
I’m not giving any more away now otherwise it will ruin the best film ever... go and watch it! It’s highly recommended!
In the end Jackie and O'bannen become.......

its good I have already seem this as you've given away the plot! It probably better to analyse the whole film but not say exactly what happened.. so readers who havent seen it will have an idea what it's about without knowing the whole story. Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee films were always fun to watch Awesome film.
