Review of Black Gold (DVD) by Claiiiree

Advantages: Frightening and insightful
Disadvantages: You might not want to drink coffee again..which isn't a good thing..

...The film “Black Gold” – by Nick and Mark Francis – tells the story of the Global Coffee trade. The Coffee industry is worth $80 billion a year – and yet despite Aid activity across the world, farmers of coffee in Ethopia are still starving and getting next to no income for their crop – while western corporations get richer and richer. The film itself follows Tadesse Meskela, the General Manager of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union in Ethopia. He represents the interests of 74000 coffee farmers and their families and this documentary follows the coffee industry across international markets and conventions to small cooperatives in Ethopia – where people are starving to death and cannot afford to build schools and educate their children, despite the massive profits in the product they grow. The Coffee industry is dominated... Read review

seven.its a sin not too watch this movie
Review of Seven (Wide Screen) by MAND898

Advantages: SCARY,FUNNY,EXTREMELY WELL ACTED
Disadvantages: it isn't long enough.

...Gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, and lust are the main topic of this extremely well written and well acted film.police drama about two cops.detective David Mills (brad pitt) and Detective Lt. William Somerset. The unlikely pairing of this young detective mills and somerset about to retire bring some comic moments in an otherwise dark, disturbing film.On the hunt for serial killer john doe (kevin spacey) that justifies his crimes as absolution for the world's ignorance of the Seven Deadly Sins the two extremely different cops try and stop him before he kills all seven people.mill's wife tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow) plays a relatively background character but is later involved a lot more.there is a lot of action and gore in this film with certain comic timings and a love story of sorts which make this fil a must see for all movie fans... Alvin and the chipmonks
Review of Alvin And The Chipmunks DVD by lora666

Advantages: great for the whole family
Disadvantages: not much depth

...To begin with you wonder what on earth you've come to watch, but as you start to get into the film you realise how good it is!! It is most definitely a family film with bits for both adults and children to like. Although there isn't much depth to the plot, it doesn't need it! Little thinking is needed when watching this film which makes it easy to follow, with just one main story running throughout. I would definitely recmmend this film because I loved it! I thought the characters were easy to relate with and really cute! You get really involved in this film especially with the chipmonks who we begin to feel sorry for for being tricked into the money making world of the music industry... Read review
