priest of being responsible for the death of a young girl. In order to get revenge he accuses the priest of making homosexual advances towards him... Based on a play by Philip King. Express Bongo (Dir. Val Guest 1960): A sly sleazy and unscrupulous music agent Johnny Jackson (Laurence Harvey) trolls the neon-streaked sidewalks of London's SoHo district in search of fresh meat to exploit. He finds it in a teen-packed coffee bar where a pompadoured rebel (pop star Cliff Richard) is dazzling his peers with his pouty Presleyish voice and a talent for pounding the skins. Johnny renames the kid "Bongo" Herbert and with the help of his stripper girlfriend (Sylvia Syms) guides the potential teen idol along the rocky path of fame. Beneath its deceptively kitschy surface Val Guest's Expresso Bongo is a potently clever film whose savvy critique of the corruptive values of show biz are reminiscent of that other hardboiled classic Sweet Smell Of Success. With a screenplay by Wolf Mankowitz and syncopated style to burn Expresso Bongo sizzles with authenticity and is a witty smart entertaining exploration of one facet of the Brit Beat phenomenon. Two A Penny (Dir. James F. Collier 1967): An art student becomes involved in drug dealing because he has no money. Stealing and cheating his deceit impacts on the lives of those around him.

Advantages: Beautifully shot, outstanding acting and some extremely comic moments Disadvantages: Less 'accessible' and more downbeat than recent films, lacking lasting emotional substance.
of restraint. These were not, in any sense, the ?good old days?. The Coen Brother?s were at the very back of the line when the rose-tinted spectacles were being handed out and any notion of nostalgia is quickly countered with an emotional perception which cuts quickly and deeply to the root of the issues. The universal themes of love, loss, culture, tradition and family are all here and are presented in razor sharp detail and accuracy and no character escapes un-ridiculed or unscathed.
Personally I believe that this film is the brother?s revenge for not having been brought up somewhere interesting, like the Bronx, for having their creative inheritance seriously undermined by an altogether pleasant and ?grit-free? upbringing as members of the Jewish intelligentsia in 1960?s mid-west suburbia. ?But it was hell!? they appear to be shouting ...

Advantages: Just superb Disadvantages: none it just brilliant
I love cheese, well most cheeses and in particular strong cheddar, and I have on numerous occasions in the past perused the wares of McLelland the most superior producers of Seriously Strong cheese. In doing so I have an ever-increasing admiration for their most excellent cheese.
It makes a great cheese sandwich and is a great addition to the top of my other favourite Lasagne. I didn?t think it possible that they could improve on this superior cheddar type cheese.
How wrong I was. A few months ago I was introduced by the courtesy of a special offer at ASDA in one of their 2 for £2.00 offers. He offer being two 125gm tubs of seriously strong SPREADABLE.
Wowsa, the jackpot a choice of three delicious flavours at this great price. Off an on over the last months this offer has been available and each time I have picked two ...
Advantages: Good representation of ECW in 1999 Disadvantages: Not awesome matches on the tape.
Firstly let me explain what and who ECW are. They were a pro wrestling federation that ran up until 2001. The intials ECW stood for Extreme Championship Wrestling, they were based in Philidelphia and were ran by Paul Heyman (who is now GM on Smackdown at time of writing). They revoultinised the busisness by introducing the market to hardcore wrestling, which WWF repackaged for themselves as "attitude". They often honed talent, and were a step in the door for many WWE talent today such as Chris Jericho, RVD, Lance Storm, Taz and many more. However ECW often had better matches than any other promotion around, and soon ECW was the place to watch with its constant violent and real matches, or its super athletic bouts.
