Another installement to my DVD collection - the epic and classic comedy hero - Mr Bean. I love Rowan Atkinson, especially in Black Adder and also in the classic Mr Bean episodes. Despite my mood before hand, after watching Mr Bean I always feel much better, he always manages to intrigue my imagination with his biazarre mannerisms and abilty to turn the most straight forward of tasks into complete disaters!
Having not being able to buy the whollebox set I have had to purchase and review each DVD volume one by one.
This DVD contains 3 episodes, each with 3 or 4 sketches in them. All of whihc are brilliant and this DVD includes one of my favourites - the one where he goes to the swimming pool and clings to the diving board. The three episodes are entitled: Episode 1. I bought this unit in November this year. There are two models, the original sound dock which I think is about £199 and the second generation one (the one I bought) which was £279 from John Lewis. The second generation one is basically the same as the first except:
a) it has a rechargeable battery
b) it has a swing out dock
c) it has an auxiliary (3.5mm) jack input
If you just want a basic model, then go for the first gen one. I got the second gen one because I thought the battery was a useful addition as is the auxiliary 3.5mm input - I have mine connected to an apple airport express that streams itunes from my laptop to my bedroom although I have used it in a friends house with my ipod too.
The sound quality is good for its size which is about the same as a hardback book and it weighs in at about 1 kilo. You can take ...

of the DVD box itself - each season employs something different and the DVDs matching really tie them together nicely.

Again, this DVD box set is well worth getting. The show just keeps getting better and better.
Once thing I would complain about is the storyline heaviness. While the episodes here are good, I find myself missing the quite random episodes of the early seasons (1 and 2 especially), and that is one thing I would mark later seasons of the show down on.
Definitely worth having for the avid That 70s Show fan, or even just a casual watcher - though the storyline heaviness means you might be better off picking yourself up an earlier season before just jumping in. The special features are not a massive bonus, but that doesn't really matter.
In shops, expect this to be roughly £30, though a poke on Amazon tells ...
