...I have wait so long so patiently for these films on dvd I think it was even delivered to my address 2 days before the release date and I still felt I had waited too long.
All three classic films digitally remastered and restored gave the old films a new slightly modern look but the films were already made before thier time, that was the only thing I was disappionted with was the fact that the original thearte releases were not with the remastered versions on the disc.
But with all the special features (Many of which I had never seen)
I extremely enjoyed these discs from the birth of the lightsaber and the creation of the characters of the star wars universe to the trailers for the release of the third episode and the promos for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront game and also the DVD-ROM content I thouroughly enjoyed these disc...

...Its one of the best boxsets you can get and with extras, you could not ask for any more. The improved picture and sound quality on them all has been worth the wait.
Episode IV (A New Hope)
Cast - Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness, Anthony Daniels.
I got taken to see it the first time it came to the big screen but I was to young to remember it, parents loved it and have been watching it ever since.
This is where it all starts and with a super theme tune.
This is my second best out of the three as its got action and effects and the bits that have been added to this film has made it even better.
Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back)

Advantages: Excellent - A Great remastering and a great keepsake Disadvantages: Changes have been made to final film
...Star Wars Trilogy BoxSet DVD.
Without sounding too excited about the first DVD release for the first 3 star wars or is that the final 3 films. A can recommend this too anyone that wants to buy the boxset.
Comparing it to the 2000 VHS Trilogy version, the conversion and re-mastering of it to DVD is top notch. The colour is excellent as it was in the original cinema version** and the sound effects are to be admired crisp and clear the better the sound system you have the clearer the sound effects are.
** In the first film the picture is so crystal clear than you can actually see that C3PO has one lover leg a different colour, (I've never noticed that before in the Video Version, so to me it shows just how good the colour is on DVD over VHS**
I would recomend this release to anyone.
However one thing that did anoy me...
