The final (hopefully!) in the 'Scream' trilogy directed by Wes Craven. It has the main characters return. Unfortunately it is nowhere near as good as the original. It may be a touch better than Scream 2 and you have to watch it to see how the 'series' ends. The sequels have failed to match the originals pace, slickness and tension.

Craven has managed to cash in on the success of the original Scream
( although there is only so much of predictable horror you can take!). Scream 3 seems to me to be almost a comedy/parody of horror films at times.
Trust me you are more likely to scream with laughter than fear whilst watching this. It totally lacks the sinister edge of the brilliant original.

There's a return of the 'film within a film'. As 'Stab 3' is being made, the new cast receive an eerie, threatening call and the original team of Sidney (Neve Campbell), Dewy (David Arquette) and Gail (Courtney Cox) get together once more to stop the killer.

Scream 3 has a lot of murders however only one or two actually surprise you. The all-important end is guaranteed to make you giggle at least once or twice.

There is a twist to the killers identity
and I would be lying if I said I guessed who it was. That is one good thing, the sense of suspense helps the film a bit. By the time you get to the end of the film you almost wish that the killer murders all the casst as it gets a bit silly.

I'm not trying to put you off. This is quite an entertaining film, and is better then some of the spin-off copycat slasher flicks.
It lacks a lot of things and you feel almost relieved when it's over. You will know what I mean after you see it.

Watch this if you want to laugh, not if you're looking for the tension-filled excellent Scream.

Unfortunately people will still watch it to see how the trilogy ends. They certainly know how to cash in on the Scream success don't they?
