Advantages: Good story, sound and picture Disadvantages: There are some scenes we have a sense of deja-vu

Genre : War drama
First time I saw this movie in FrenchTV, I didn't know the title at that time. But later, when I travelled I found this movie in DVD format. I recognized from the cover shown 4 soldiers their stories told in the movie. At that time I knew the title "IndÍgenes", later known as "Days Of Glory" in English title.

Advantages: Clever, moralistic and extremely funny Disadvantages: Not the kind of humour that appeals to all. Not suitable for children.

He plays peasant Boris Grushenko, enlisted into the army to fight Napoleon's marauding forces. After much farcical gunplay, he succeeds in spite of himself, and ends up facing Bonaparte himself, simultaneously attempting to seduce his cousin Sonja (played with trademark insouciant charm by Diane Keaton).
Whilst the plot is slight, Allen doesn't stint on the visual and verbal jokes, but also manages to piggyback in some heavyweight...
