1982 Blade Runner
Advantages: never fading, always new and gives you hope Disadvantages: not good for under 16
...The fact that the Blade Runner(Rick Deckard) is forced back into killing the Nexus 6, made a turning point in the movie as he was now a target. The Nexus 6 which was just out to destroy the happily living humans was now being destroyed by the Deckard to 3 of them left and this was the hard target. I was so curious as to know how soon he was going to do this or if he was going to quit the job as he had initially wanted.
When he(Deckard ) was almost ... ...this guy in the head, made things in the life of him. He was to kill this girl but after few shots of vodka, found that he loves this girl. I was like oh my God what is he doing? you are gonna get killed. But i was wrong because the whole thing changed.
Furthermore, the fact that fact he was spared bye Roy Batty at the final end of the movie was just an evolution in life because he(Batty) realized that all humans are equal and there still remain ...

Dune (1984)
Directed by David Lynch
Starring: Kyle McClaughlin, Jose Ferrer, Kenneth MacMillan, Jurgen Prochnow
137 minutes
Extras: Trailer and stills. Not much to write home about.
'Dune' is David Lynch's third feature, released at the end of 1984. It is based on the book, unsurprisingly also called 'Dune' written by Frank Herbert. Epic in span and scape, the Dune series spans several thousand years of history - it stands with The Lord of The ... ...is traversed, so whoever controls Dune will make a lot of money. However, this is all a double cross, the Baron will be able to reoccupy Arrakis and bump Duke Leto off. The Emperor will lose a popular potential rival and the Baron will be victorious over his bitter foe. Win-win there. However the main thrust of the story is the development of the Dukes son, Paul. Will he avenge his fallen father? More importantly, is he the saviour that Dune is waiting ...

Future Noir!
Advantages: Greatest sci-fi movie of all time. Need I say more? Disadvantages: Slow pacing and thoughtful qualities may be a little tiresome for some.
BLADE RUNNER
Blighted by an arduous shoot that led to t-shirt wars between an unsympathetic American crew and its English director; a frosty relationship with Tandem pictures; a considerable misjudgement in releasing the film with a dour voice over narration and happy ending following mediocre preview sneaks in Denver and Dallas; and the fact it followed on the boot heels of Spielberg's wonderful ET, you would think it amazing that Blade Runner ... ...screens 10 years later. However, Blade Runner isn't just any other film. The opening shot alone defines the movie as something rather special, even if to admire simply as a piece of art. But there was always much more boiling under the 'layered' surface - something the critics didn't originally catch on - which has since proved that Blade Runner is perhaps the greatest science fiction movie ever made. Thank the monkey lords for sci-fi geeks and VHS, ...

Add some spice to your collection...ha. ha.
Advantages: Stunning landscapes and buildings, and the worms are great Disadvantages: Confusing.
...who must have a definitive Dune collection, but in my opinion, it doesn't add that much to the film.
In general, I would recommend this film to anyone feeling nostalgic for old sci-fi epics, and to anyone who thinks that films such as the Chronicles of Riddick are better in comparison to the greats.
Oh, and watch out for the insane flying baron. ...

Ok I'm biased
Advantages: An awesome epic Disadvantages: can be a little dull
Since first entering the Dune universe I hav read every book available to date, watched both mini-series and played every game I could get my hands on... It still doesn't compare to the actual awe I feltwatching this film properly for the first time.
Ok, it doesn't stick that closely to the original story (unlike the later adaptation by the sci-fi channel) and the earlier DVD edition had an odd green tone but this is IT, the reason I am now obsesive ... ...like one of the new LOTR inspired epics, a little stodgy and tough to get into, kind of like the books, if you don't have patience and you don't like this kind of thing don't watch it. If you do then it is a deffinate must, its as memorable as any film I've seen (after the first viewing I had already memorised the opening speech) and more memorable than most.
Although the storyline wavers from the books it is still engrossing. Unfortunately the ...
