Stargate Continuum
Advantages: Great movie, wraps up the Goa'uld storyline
Disadvantages: Not for everyone
Stargate Continuum is the latest Stargate movie. Its basically a stand alone movie, but for full enjoyment some background knowledge of Stargate SG1 the series is necessary. For those that havent seen Stargate SG1 there will be parts that will be confusing.
Basically the plot is; SG1 are overseeing the removal of the Goa'ual Ba'al by the Tok'ra, when Ba'al, Teal'c and Vala disappear. Leaving Daniel, Sam and Mitchell to find out what happened and ...
...Prime. For Stargate fans such as myself it rounds off the story of the Goa'uld which was left floating in the wind after Stargate SG1 was suddenly cancelled by the Sci Fi channel. It also sees the much loved Don S Davis resurrect his role of General George Hammond, a bonus for any Stargate fan.
The action is perfectly paced, not too fast that none Stargate fans wouldnt be able to keep up, and not so slow that it ever becomes boring.

Advantages: Choose a story that flows tauten
Disadvantages: Special effects is less good

Atlantis shaped goodness
Advantages: Some good stories, continuing a great series

For all those Stargate SG1 fans (and I know you are out there) this season starts linking into whats happening in SG1. I quite enjoyed this, but then I've seen all the Stargate SG1 episodes so I knew what they were all talking about. For anyone who hasn't seen SG1 (or at least the season its linked into) there are times where it might not make as much sense as it should. Its ok though, you'd get by fine with just a small sense of confusion

...bit more observant when it came to the similarities between SG1 and Atlantis, infact at times they pretty much refer to the "missions" SG1 went on that were simmilar to the situation they were in. A little bit of sneaky story recycling at times. The end of the season Finale (as great as it is) is a well used favourite. The bad guys come to earth. Oh crap.

Advantages: Gripping, addictive, plenty too watch, perfect in most ways
