Science defying Madness!

Advantages: easy to watch, reasonably priced, good picture
Disadvantages: very unrealistic

If you haven't seen the trailer, then it wont be spoiling it too much that the premise of the film is action orientated and there's physics defying gun play where the main characters make bullets travel in circles and bends in order to kill people they shouldn't be able too. ...

classic 50's sci-fi

Advantages: classic sci fi film
Disadvantages: shows its age

...watchable film even now. All the Martian "sounds" are pretty much part of the main stay of Science Fiction sound effects today. The film sets The Martians as totally different from humans, creating an "Us & Them" situation mirroring the East Versus West fears of The Cold War in an already paranoid America telling it's people to beware of Reds Under The Bed. War Of The Worlds - Tom Cruise back to his best

Advantages: Great acting
Disadvantages: weak ending

Steven Spielberg’s remake of War Of The Worlds is not a blockbuster classic but still a movie he can be proud of. This is an intense, chilling sci-fi movie.
