Something about a 'Legend' just stays with you Advantages: very believable, excelent plot Disadvantages: can be confusing to some people ...alone for all those years. I think that this movie was very well written from the main plot to the side plots everything fit together and made it believable. It was the kind of movie you just want to watch again and each time you do there seems to be something else you didn't notice that just adds to the believable plot. ... It's not over until the fat lady sings Advantages: Great acting and effects Disadvantages: Obvious computer generated effects BEWARE! THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS AND PLOTLINE! THE STORY The story starts in space and we see the moon. We see dust on the moon shaking and a shadow coming over the top. We then see an alien spacecraft. In the USA, a young man is practicing his golf stroke in a laboratory. He notices a warning light flash and a strange noise. He quickly gets his boss and they find that the noise is coming from the moon. They contact the Secretary of Defence ... ...over the moon and that is has broken off into lots of pieces. It is rapidly coming towards earth. He contacts The President. Meanwhile, the president Thomas Whitmore (played by Bill Pullman) is just getting up and gets the phone call from the Secretary. On the other side of town, David Levinson (played by Jeff Goldblum) an ex-scientist has been told that there is interference on all communications. Get Backers Advantages: Great Storyline from the manga Disadvantages: Nothing bad :) Based on the popular manga, this is the animated version still carrying the legacy of the famed manga. It's about two men with the simple wish of being rich. Midou Ban can make people hallucinate and has the gripping power of 200kg, while his partner Amano Ginji can generate electricity throughout his body. The story is all about their escapades while retrieving the objective of their mission. Throughout their mission, they encounter new and old ... ...in one way or another. The amazing aspect of this anime are the transitions of the story. Although short, you can quickly go with the flow. One more great feature is the amazing abilities that each character possesses, some of them are even superhuman. An example is Dr. Jackal Akabane Kuroudo, who's fond of killing and has an intense thirst for blood which he relates to Midou who he says is just the same as him. X-Men 2 (DVD And Fantastic Four Jonny Storm Watch Advantages: Better action than some with story line Disadvantages: slow in parts If you love the first X-MEN then X-MEN2 is a must have, with less story building than the first this film has a lot more action - packed fun for all to love. There are a few slow parts in the film but overall its a must. the charachters realy start to evolve and if you were a fan of the cartoon then the end makes a lot more to you than if you just watch the film. Although you are left felling that they could have done more. E.g. Magneto (Lan Mckellen) ... ...four is again much like X-men 1 you have to wait for the best bits as the story building takes its time however its much more for the younger audience with its light humor and slightly cheesy punchlines however it is quit a good film for kids as it does not require you to concerntrate to long and if you miss bits of the film you can catch up with the plot later.
