Stargate S.G.1 based on the Stargate movie. This series is one of the best science fiction series ever. The series follows S.G. 1 on their missions to other planets through the Stargate. The S.G. 1 team are made up of Jack O'Neill (2 L's), Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and eventually Teal'c. Colonel Jack O'Neill is very anti establishment and has a lot of funny one liners and always seems to be the one getting shot, blown up, zapped, transported ...
...Carter is the science geek, if it is broke or needs fixing she can fix it. She uses words like exponentially a lot. Amanda Tapping plays her. Daniel Jackson is an archaeologist who originally told the world that the pyramids were landing pads for alien ships. Micheal Shanks plays him. Teal'c is a Jaffa and he starts off as a "baddy" but he really does not beleive in the false "gods" the Goa'uld. He helps S.G. 1 to escape and becomes part of the team. ... Read review

...SOMEWHERE) For all those Stargate SG1 fans (and I know you are out there) this season starts linking into whats happening in SG1. I quite enjoyed this, but then I've seen all the Stargate SG1 episodes so I knew what they were all talking about. For anyone who hasn't seen SG1 (or at least the season its linked into) there are times where it might not make as much sense as it should. Its ok though, you'd get by fine with just a small sense of confusion ...
...bit more observant when it came to the similarities between SG1 and Atlantis, infact at times they pretty much refer to the "missions" SG1 went on that were simmilar to the situation they were in. A little bit of sneaky story recycling at times. The end of the season Finale (as great as it is) is a well used favourite. The bad guys come to earth. Oh crap. Stargate is without a shaow of a dout one of the best Sci-fi series ever created. Unlike the first season where the series was trying to create a credible storyline from the film, season two moves away from that and really show the viewer what stargate is really about. ...that just wanted to see Species 3. The first was a glorious tease; the second was one of the worst things I've ever seen on screen. A third was just morbid curiosity. With DVD there is now a market for studios to knock out cheap direct to video sequels. Hence the reason for this and the likes of 8MM2, Hollow Man 2 and a sequel to The Net. Quite simply they are sequels that nobody would be clamouring to see on the big screen. But on the small screen ...
...A nutty professor takes the species child and raises her in order to study her and win some kudos in the scientific world. Naturally an alien species doesn't go missing from the government radar for long and soon they're on the case. The professor enlists the help of a student and general sexual shennigans ensue featuring catfights, low rent gore and modest depiction of female nudity and shoddy CGI. Disadvantages: The first two-parter is a little bit of a let-down both on aliens and plot...

Volume Two of Doctor Who's first re-imagined season opens up with The Doctor and Rose returning to earth after a supposed 12 hours have passed only for Rose to then discover that in actual fact 12 months have passed. Her mum thought something bad must have happened to her and Rose's boyfriend, Mickey, was allegedly taken into custody on suspicion of bumping her off!!!
