Fantastically lags story wise

Advantages: Some good special effects and CGI
Disadvantages: Too slow, not enough of a story, lost interest before the end

Bad science and even worse plot

Advantages: Great effects
Disadvantages: No plot at all really, HUGE science goofs.

There is no real plot in this movie as such, a group of 5 people go into space, aquire powers and 4 of them use them for good while the 5th uses them for evil until the other 4 decide to stop him. I know its a really short summation but thats the ENTIRE film in just that sentance! None of the main characters are really given any kind of introduction. At least in Spiderman and X-Men there is some kind of character outlining. Their powers are acquired ...

Excelsior!

Advantages: steady well-paced action, plenty of visual treats and amusing moments
Disadvantages: not as deep, or with enough character development as some would like

This sequel to the first Fantastic Four film has not been met with great enthusiasm, which puzzles me. Here, a silver humanoid figure on what appears to be a surfboard begins appearing all over the world and wreaking havoc. 'Well Cool!' (according to my eldest!)

Advantages: great story and acting, excellent effects
Disadvantages: Dr Doom may be a bit too scary for younger viewers
