It's a must for die hard Farscape fans, I'd really suggest newbies to watch the previous series first as alot of the plot needs some previous knowledge to fully appreciate. Advantages: Launch into the show's finest plot arcs, experimenting with genres.
Disadvantages: Division of the cast has inevitable repercussions.

One Plan at a Time

Advantages: Sets the tone for the upcoming year, with Farscape's usual high quality writing.
Disadvantages: A couple of mis-steps.

The third season of Farscape still remains my personal favourite in the prematurely cancelled epic science fiction series, as the show expands far beyond its original boundaries and weaves a finely crafted story arc across a colourful season of strongly individual episodes, before creative blunders and corporate interference weakened the series in its fourth and ultimately final year. Into the wormhole...

Advantages: Lovely Graphics, Awesome Effects
Disadvantages: Expensive, Confusing

...many I became hooked on Farscape since it first aired on terrestrial television on BBC2. So when the show decided to release the whole series on box set I was over the moon. I got on the phone to all my nerdy friends to spread the news when I realised the price of said box sets. £70! And although the box sets do boast special features, interview with the cast etc I don't see how there can be that many exclusives on the DVD's to justify such a price ...
...Pretty boring eh? Well with Farscape the storyline is much more loose and consists of lots of adventures fighting evil aliens which eventually all merge into a workable story line. Your probably thinking that story sounds a bit rubbish and it does sound pretty pathetic but in the series it's so well implemented it's unbelievable how well the show pans out.
