Darker and yet funnier than the previous films.

Advantages: Amazing special effects. Excellent acting.
Disadvantages: Unfaithful to the book in parts.

Review of Aliens (Special Edition) (DVD)

Chessy but fun!

Advantages: Fun story
Disadvantages: A bit childish

...a fan club convention of Galaxy Quest. We then see a backroom shot of actors dressed in their respective costumes. There is Gwen (played by Sigourney Weaver, Alexander (played by Alan Rickman), Fred (played by Tony Shalhoub) and Tommy (played by Daryl Mitchell). They are upset that the main cast charecter Jason (played by Tim Allen) is late for the convention. Jason arrives and they go on stage. A group of "aliens" go up to Jason asking for his help. ...
...the ship they have built. The film has cheesy acting and jokes and is similiar to Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy and Spaceballs. I like the story, I think the special effects are good and the charecters (human and alien) are good. Cant remember the soundtrack. ...

The definitive Alien collection

Advantages: Original and director's cut edition, flawless transfer, every extra you could want
Disadvantages: None

Of all movie monsters, the Alien has to be my favourite and this box set is an esential for anyone who has seen and loved any or all of the four pure Alien movies (dsicounting the Alien/ Predator crossover genre). Having been old enough to have seen the original Alien at the cinema I was pleased that the box set includes the original as well as the new updated and reditied versions of all four of the movies. ...fact there isn't much of a review of this movie. its because i found it very hard to follow but here goes. I haven't read the book/story this i based on & the film is a bit difficult to follow but still very good. the whole filmed then drawn thing is brilliant.
