I want to believe Advantages: All episode titles on each disk so you can't lose your place Disadvantages: It takes hundreds of hours to watch it all! I always loved the X-Files and I've only just got to series three of this boxset, but I cannot stop watching it. Here's the background, I bought season one boxset years ago and still have yet to open it and then I saw this amazing boxset in a sale for just £64. Despite the journey I was on and the weight it would be, I had to buy it. I could not believe the amazing savings I had made on it. Since I bought, on a weeknight I cannot stop watching the ... ...to get to just into the beginning of season three. The packaging is not great and the external picture on my version of the boxset (which includes the first film) is also not great or really that encompassing of the entire show and the pictures on each individual year are not that brilliant. It's lost the X Factor Advantages: spooky Disadvantages: not so interesting these days The X Files is the award winning American TV show which follows the FBI’s handling of alien cases. Agents Mulder and Scully investigate, and have done for eight previous seasons. Along the way, they become embroiled in the alien activity themselves. Well, I think this show should have ended in season 7. I think they thought it was going to, because they tied up so many loose ends. ~ Bridge To Terabithia~ Advantages: Excellent acting, Great story, Good Soundtrack Disadvantages: none Bridge To Terabithia This weekend while visiting a friend we decided to have a relaxed afternoon and stick on a film and have a glass of wine. As her ten year old son was with us we decided to watch the children’s movie Bridge to Terabithia. I have heard of the film before but didn’t really know much about it. I didn’t know who was in it, what it was about or who made the film which sometimes I think it is a good idea not knowing anything about ... ...be around him. Bridge to Terabithia was adapted by the novel which I really want to read now to compare. The story had a good pace with plenty to keep children interested. I liked the fact that even though it is a PG it had elements to keep the adults interested too. The ending was really outstanding and I was really surprised. It is not predictable at all and I found myself really involved. Taking Refuge in Fantasy Advantages: A great family mvoie with strong characters and sensitive direction. Disadvantages: Not the fantasy epic I was hoping for. Jess trains all summer so he can win a race at school, but then he is beaten by new girl Leslie. However they soon become fast friends. Leslie loves to tell fantastical stories while Jess loves to draw but has never shared his talent with anyone. Together they create the world of Terabithia, a magical place they can reach by a rope-swing across the stream in the woods. There they rule the kingdom, fight the Dark Master and his creatures and plot ... ...changes forever. I must admit to initially being very disappointed by the film because it wasn't the fantasy extravaganza I was expecting from the trailer. But that's not to say this isn't a good family movie. In fact it's a very good one and director Gabor Csupo (part of the creative team that brought us "Rugrats" and "The Wild Thornberrys") does a great job of bringing the world of the film to life.
