It's not over until the fat lady sings Advantages: Great acting and effects Disadvantages: Obvious computer generated effects BEWARE! THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS AND PLOTLINE! THE STORY The story starts in space and we see the moon. We see dust on the moon shaking and a shadow coming over the top. We then see an alien spacecraft. In the USA, a young man is practicing his golf stroke in a laboratory. He notices a warning light flash and a strange noise. He quickly gets his boss and they find that the noise is coming from the moon. They contact the Secretary of Defence ... ...over the moon and that is has broken off into lots of pieces. It is rapidly coming towards earth. He contacts The President. Meanwhile, the president Thomas Whitmore (played by Bill Pullman) is just getting up and gets the phone call from the Secretary. On the other side of town, David Levinson (played by Jeff Goldblum) an ex-scientist has been told that there is interference on all communications. Will Smith - Box Set Advantages: 3 amazing films. Disadvantages: none. Will Smith has to be one of the most talented men on earth. He can sing, dance and act, brilliantly. Will Smith developed his acting career with 'Fresh Prince of Bellair' and from that he grew and grew. This box set is really good for it's price and Will Smith makes that price the more better. I robot is an action-packed film which is briefly about robots taking over the world. The robots are meant to be wonderful inventions and never able to harm ... ...film that is basically American originated. I can't really explain this film as I can't briefly remember it and also with the film 'Minority'. I have seen these films and they are great but I can't really put it in to words about the two. The Good and Bad of I Robot Advantages: Entertains Disadvantages: Does get abit boring in some places What I personally enjoyed about I Robot is the opening seen of Will Smith in the shower, but I would. Throughout this film I thought that Will Smiths (Detective Del Spooner) performance was excellent, along with supporting actress Bridget Moynahan (Dr. Susan Calvin) just made the film. Both their performances complimented each other. The special effects all the way through this film are phenomenal, they are so realistic and very imaginative, companied ... ...just makes the film so individual and entertaning, it is a must see movie. The only problem that I found within all the special effects, characters and of course the classic sound track (with songs by people you will know who ever you are) is that its a film where you cannot watch it over and over again in a short period of time, you do have to leave it for a couple months before you can rewatch it and not get destracted by anything else. Independence day - gotta get me one of these! Advantages: The price and the special effects, Plus the fact its an amazing film Disadvantages: The sound quality, Picture quality and so forth About two years ago, I saw this film for the first time on VHS and then decided to buy it on dvd to see how much better the quality was. To say the least, I was disappointed. The quality isn't improved at all, The makers have just added extra features to the disc(s). At the time of purchase I paid £11.99 for this 2 disc DVD, which is quite good considering the price you pay for DVD's these days lol. Disc one is entitled ''The Invasion''. Enjoyable Film, Not a Classic though Advantages: Enjoyable Sci Film, Good Action Disadvantages: Very American ...same ship as used in Independence Day. Just my observation, but it surely looks similar, even down to the main hole in the middle of the ship for the Death Ray. All in all this is an entertaining amusing film that is worth watching, just don't expect a classic.
