They Won't Let You Remember Advantages: Funny, memorable, doesn't get old Disadvantages: Don't think there are any... ...Rumour has it that the Men in Black do actually exist, but that in reality what they do is visit people who have reported sightings of UFOs and potential alien things, and "encourage" them to keep it to themselves. This could mean they are not such nice people, and may use threatening or even violent tactics to achieve their goals. Of course, whether or not this is true, I don't know. But this film has been inspired by those theories, to create something ... ..."Forget-me-nots" song, "Here come the Men in Black"? It certainly went down well at its time of release, even if it was not to be a long lasting song. The soundtrack is generally quite good and still sounds new, even after how many years? 12? I think this is meant to be a cool film, and one that people remember, and in that it has been a success. Both versions reviewed Advantages: Brilliant just brilliant Disadvantages: None You have to be careful when reading these opinions because although the title refers to the special edition of this disc I noticed that some of the opinions are talking about the limited edition edition. In a wonderful attempt to make money out a popular film Columbia Tri-star have released two versions both with 'Special' style titles. The first being 'Men In Black Special Edition', a title usually reserved for the second release of a film. To clear ... ...cover, featuring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. This itself is an excellent DVD containing not only the usual Trailers and Character profiles but a host of other interesting features. There is a wonderful on-screen commentry with director Barry Sonnenfeld and Tommy Lee Jones. You can see thier sillouetes at the bottom of the screen and they even draw circles on the screen around what they are talking about. It's all very interesting, although there ... movie that changed my childhood Advantages: is a collectors item and a classic all time special Disadvantages: old movie with apaling special effects this movie was one of the first i ever owned on vhs as a child, i watched it over and over about 100 times. Its extremely funny as the combination of will smith that plays a very funny character and his partner the serious stereotypical FBI agent looking. The two characters end up having a very deep connection as they both work together and experience life at great risk fighting aliens. Protecting the earth from the scum of the universe Advantages: Lots of special features Disadvantages: Younger viewers might need a cushion handy to hide behind! ...something like this ... Men in Black 1: Streetwise, know-it-all (or so he thinks!) New York cop James Edwards (Will Smith) chases down a criminal, only to see him behave in a very peculiar way: turns out he's an alien!. Later, Edwards is contacted by the mysterious Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) who introduces him to the Men in Black: the secret government organistaion responsible for monitoring (and hiding) alien activity on earth.
