Stargate S.G.1 based on the Stargate movie. This series is one of the best science fiction series ever. The series follows S.G. 1 on their missions to other planets through the Stargate. The S.G. 1 team are made up of Jack O'Neill (2 L's), Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and eventually Teal'c. ...Carter is the science geek, if it is broke or needs fixing she can fix it. She uses words like exponentially a lot. Amanda Tapping plays her. Daniel Jackson is an archaeologist who originally told the world that the pyramids were landing pads for alien ships. Micheal Shanks plays him. Teal'c is a Jaffa and he starts off as a "baddy" but he really does not beleive in the false "gods" the Goa'uld. He helps S.G. 1 to escape and becomes part of the team. ... Read review

Stargate is without a shaow of a dout one of the best Sci-fi series ever created. Unlike the first season where the series was trying to create a credible storyline from the film, season two moves away from that and really show the viewer what stargate is really about. Cloverfield is a film about a giant monster attacking Manhattan all seen through the perspective of a 20-something's hand-held camera. The film has been hyped for months. After the initial 15mins of character introduction and whatnot the film does not go 5mins minutes without a WHOA moment. ...I think it worked for Cloverfield as the film would have made no sense if they had used big name actors/actresses. The monster itself isn't seen in its entirety and is in fact only seen from different angles, leaving the audience to piece it together just as the survivors themselves are. I'm a big sci-fi fan, and was intrigued by the idea for Jumper. Samuel L. Jackson always lends credibility and I was interested to see Hayden Christensen out of his Star Wars robe.I expected good things. I was disappointed to say the least. I was dubious about seeing I am Legend as I'd heard mixed reports. I was more than pleasantly surprised then to find I actually enjoyed I am Legend.
