X-Men 2 (DVD And Fantastic Four Jonny Storm Watch
Review of X-Men 2 (DVD And Fantastic Four Jonny Storm Watch) by Anthony82

Advantages: Better action than some with story line
Disadvantages: slow in parts

If you love the first X-MEN then X-MEN2 is a must have, with less story building than the first this film has a lot more action - packed fun for all to love. There are a few slow parts in the film but overall its a must. the charachters realy start to evolve and if you were a fan of the cartoon then the end makes a lot more to you than if you just watch the film. Although you are left felling that they could have done more. E.g. Magneto (Lan Mckellen) ...
...four is again much like X-men 1 you have to wait for the best bits as the story building takes its time however its much more for the younger audience with its light humor and slightly cheesy punchlines however it is quit a good film for kids as it does not require you to concerntrate to long and if you miss bits of the film you can catch up with the plot later. A great xmas gift ... Read review

Both versions reviewed
Review of Men In Black (Special Limited Edition) (Wide Screen) by Manic_Mike

Advantages: Brilliant just brilliant
Disadvantages: None

You have to be careful when reading these opinions because although the title refers to the special edition of this disc I noticed that some of the opinions are talking about the limited edition edition. In a wonderful attempt to make money out a popular film Columbia Tri-star have released two versions both with 'Special' style titles. The first being 'Men In Black Special Edition', a title usually reserved for the second release of a film. To clear ...
...cover, featuring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. This itself is an excellent DVD containing not only the usual Trailers and Character profiles but a host of other interesting features. There is a wonderful on-screen commentry with director Barry Sonnenfeld and Tommy Lee Jones. You can see thier sillouetes at the bottom of the screen and they even draw circles on the screen around what they are talking about. It's all very interesting, although there ... Read review

X2:united
Review of X-Men 2 (Definitive Edition) by kdoc1988

Advantages: Continues with an already loved story.
Disadvantages: Differs very subtly from the original comic book

...been a fan of the X-Men since i was a small child, starting with the animated series and then eventually the comic book. X-men introduced us to the characters, but X2 captures them so well that, co-creator, Stan Lee would be proud. Also introducing some new characters that will make fans happy. The returning cast who made these characters their own in the first film, are even better in X2. With the story focusing more on Hugh Jackman's Wolverine ...
...his loss of memory. After his brief encounter with a mutant assassin, Nightcrawler, the president grants William Stryker, a rogue army colonel with a desire to destroy mutants, permission to enter the Xavior Institute, Wolverine conects Styker to his amnesa. Also, while visiting Magneto in his, especially designed, plastic prison, designed by Stryker, Cyclops and The Professor are taken. The remaining X-men, Wolverine, Storm, and Jean, and a few ... And the battle against the Goa'uld continues...
Review of Stargate S.G. 1 - Series 4 - Complete DVD by jeffe

Advantages: More of the same exciting action, great characterization
Disadvantages: Some stories are boring.

...I am a big, big Stargate fan. The stargate series continues from where the original film left off. In the original Stargate movie, a team of soldiers set off to an alien planet called 'Abydos', through the Stargate (see pic below), to do some reconnosance. To cut the long story short, after some time on Abydos, they encountered some trouble in the form of Goa'ulds. A Goa'uld is a human who has a parasite inside of him and poses as a god to an amount ...
...episodes, SG-1 travels through the stargate and meets some other civilisation, causes some trouble and fixes it in some way. Most of the civilisations they meet are human (although they do meet aliens too), because it was found that humans on Earth are the 'people of the Tari' which means that all human life in the whole universe started in our planet. Amazingly, all humans of all planets speak English or whatever language you're happening to see ... Read review
