...it's sheer brilliance. made in the 70's good old Charlton Heston and his Doc Savage chin and chest just rob Chuck in every scene. The film is so silly now it's just a case of watching it without trying to involve your brain in any way at all. Chuck dying at the end of the film I totally forgot about (I told you it contained spoilers!) all the scenes of newscasters and scientists on television stank of romero's "Dead" movies so I can see how the book ...
...been re-cut or included all the cut scenes (like the now infamous woman in crypt on the cutting room floor). It would have been nice to see the context those scenes were in. We got a tiny thing about "making of Omega Man" which was really bad and didn't add to the DVD in the slightest. Can't someone ask Charlton to get off his gun toting backside and make a few commentaries. No-one should even consider re-making this. Like Logans Run (HERESY!) certain ...

Advantages: Great Boxset, well illustrated
Disadvantages: Nothing

Not a sunday roast but Soylent green!

Advantages: Very gripping throughout.
Disadvantages: Slightley boring

...it for days after. Soylent Green is a new food Suppliment in the poor future, and it is a improvement on the recent Soylent colours. It is in High demand, and The character 'thorn' played by Chartan Heston discovers the manafacturing process of it. It makes you think how the world would be in the future. i like the fact that although it was made in the 70s and its set in the year 2022- thats quite far unlike the film space 1999! ...

Keep your clothes WITH YOU at all times

Advantages: One of the best ever sci-fi scripts
Disadvantages: Don't look at the ape masks at the back of the scenes!

I think that I was very affected by films as a child. For many of my early years I had a recurring nightmare of being chased through a corn field by marauding gorillas....it was horrible. I can now recognise that this was all due to watching this amazing film at such an early age. Considering this film was made in 1968 it was very well made indeed and stands the test of time well. ...sequence of this great film I really loved. I really enjoy space craft of any kind and the ship they have travelled in is reminiscent of the late and great concorde...all pointy and fast looking. What I love more about this film than anything is the number of times Charlton Heston tries to escape, but he is always caught...learn your lesson!
