1982 Blade Runner

Advantages: never fading, always new and gives you hope
Disadvantages: not good for under 16

...The fact that the Blade Runner(Rick Deckard) is forced back into killing the Nexus 6, made a turning point in the movie as he was now a target. The Nexus 6 which was just out to destroy the happily living humans was now being destroyed by the Deckard to 3 of them left and this was the hard target. I was so curious as to know how soon he was going to do this or if he was going to quit the job as he had initially wanted. When he(Deckard ) was almost ...
...this guy in the head, made things in the life of him. He was to kill this girl but after few shots of vodka, found that he loves this girl. I was like oh my God what is he doing? you are gonna get killed. But i was wrong because the whole thing changed. Furthermore, the fact that fact he was spared bye Roy Batty at the final end of the movie was just an evolution in life because he(Batty) realized that all humans are equal and there still remain ...

Future Noir!

Advantages: Greatest sci-fi movie of all time. Need I say more?
Disadvantages: Slow pacing and thoughtful qualities may be a little tiresome for some.

BLADE RUNNER Blighted by an arduous shoot that led to t-shirt wars between an unsympathetic American crew and its English director; a frosty relationship with Tandem pictures; a considerable misjudgement in releasing the film with a dour voice over narration and happy ending following mediocre preview sneaks in Denver and Dallas; and the fact it followed on the boot heels of Spielberg's wonderful ET, you would think it amazing that Blade Runner ...
...screens 10 years later. However, Blade Runner isn't just any other film. The opening shot alone defines the movie as something rather special, even if to admire simply as a piece of art. But there was always much more boiling under the 'layered' surface - something the critics didn't originally catch on - which has since proved that Blade Runner is perhaps the greatest science fiction movie ever made. Thank the monkey lords for sci-fi geeks and VHS, ...

The Original And Still The Greatest

Advantages: Theres A Great Film In There
Disadvantages: Maybe more than you need

Blade runner- The Final Cut-Ultimate Collectors Edition (Five (yes five) Discs) "They don't advertise for killers in a newspaper". If that's not an arresting opening line in a movie then I don't know one. Strictly speaking its not the films opening line but the first words uttered by Rick Deckard in the original theatrical version of Blade Runner. Harrison Ford at night on a crowded street in the rain. A morally troubled former policeman introduces ...
..."That was my profession-ex-cop-ex Blade Runner-ex-killer" The film is set nominally in Los Angeles 2019, but feels like the indeterminate near-future, too close for comfort. Maybe just one scientific leap away. In this dystopian time every one who can afford to has migrated to an "off-world" colony. An introdutory scroll tells us the Tyrell corporation has advanced robot technology to the Nexus phase, fashioning organic/biological beings called ...

Brilliant

Advantages: Far more thought-provoking and poignant
Disadvantages: Could be hard to follow without the voiceover

Bladerunner is a classic an innovative sci-fi. The Director's cut is by far the better version in my opinion. A lot more is left to the imagination and a great of significance can be drawn from small moments of cinematography. I always thought the voiceover was rather intrusive, especially in the emotional moments. The music by Vangelis says it all really. This is something fans should not miss out on. For those who have never seen either version ...

Man meets his match!

Advantages: Great cult film
Disadvantages: Drags if you're not concentrating

Blade Runner is a ground breaking cult film from celebrated director Ridley Scott and based on the novel by Philip K Dick. Set in the future, it tests the water of issues such as overpopulation, genetic modification and gives what is essentially an action thriller an artistic look and a great cast. It stars Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, a Blade Runner, whose job it is to seek out replicants and destroy them, and features Deckard's tussle with the ...
...banned on Earth, and the Blade Runners are there to enforce the ban. Stellar performances from Rutger Hauer and M Emmet Walsh are backed up with a great script and some clever direction to make the film dark and moody whilst keeping the audience guessing all the way through. There are some really engaging moments between Ford and Sean Young, who stars as a woman Deckard suspects may be a replicant but can find no proof or signs. The film's futuristic ...
