Ah, Star Wars, Anew Hope, what an amazing film. This is also in my top 5 movies. It was an amazingly thought out film. I mean, you haven't lived until you've seen star wars. At the beginning, a rebel ship containing Princess Leia is captured by Darth Vader. 2 droids, C3P0 and R2D2 escape. Only to be sold to Luke Skywalker. Who sets out on an adventure with Han Solo, Chewbacca and Obi Wan Kenobi. They set out to defeat the empire by joining the rebels. ...
...and thrills. Ask anyone about Star Wars and they will tell you it is a great film. Everybodys heard of it, who hasn't. The Director George Lucas is an amazing director. Briliant, he put 110% into this film. The result was unbelievable. Now the soundtrack to Star Wars is also brilliantly mixed in wIth the film. The orchestra who produced it must be good at what they do. Now not every teenager likes classical, but i like that sound track. The best ... Read review

...or are a real hardcore star wars fan who have to own anything star wars. The films themselves are brilliant quality taken from the remastered trilogy. the extra disc is crammed with backstage pictures never seen before features and a feature documentry about the making of the films. I would recommend this to people who havnt already got the original trilogy on DVD or those die hard star wars nutter YOU KNOW WHO ARE!!! ... Read review

Advantages: If you've watched these films as a child you'll love them
Disadvantages: for first time viewers not exactly compelling stuff

...child I've grown up thinking Star Wars is the greatest story ever told from Luke Skywalker's X-Wing blowing up the death star to the biggest revaltion of movie history that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's 'Father'. But when I watched the entire trilogy recently I couldn't help but think if I hadn't loved star wars as a child would I really still believe its the greatest series of movies and as much as it pains me to say this but the answer is no. ...
...the prequels but when you compare the fight scenes you realise exactly how badly made the oiginal fight scenes were. I still love Star Wars but the fact of the matter is there are better trilogies out there and this by no means is the greatest story ever told. ... Read review

Advantages: Special effects
Disadvantages: None I can think of.

Cloverfield is a film about a giant monster attacking Manhattan all seen through the perspective of a 20-something's hand-held camera. The film has been hyped for months. After the initial 15mins of character introduction and whatnot the film does not go 5mins minutes without a WHOA moment. ...I think it worked for Cloverfield as the film would have made no sense if they had used big name actors/actresses. The monster itself isn't seen in its entirety and is in fact only seen from different angles, leaving the audience to piece it together just as the survivors themselves are. I'm a big sci-fi fan, and was intrigued by the idea for Jumper. Samuel L. Jackson always lends credibility and I was interested to see Hayden Christensen out of his Star Wars robe.I expected good things. I was disappointed to say the least. Plot: Boy discovers he has the power to teleport himself. Boy learns to control his powers. Boy lives idyllic life of leisure and travel until he discovers that people are chasing him, and that he is caught up ...

Unfortunately, "Jumper" isn't much more than a geography tour.For me, Hayden Christensen reprising the gloomy, wounded, misunderstood, petulant anti-hero role he played so ineffectively in the Star Wars prequels.
