Stargate SG1 - Season 1
Advantages: Gripping, addictive, plenty too watch, perfect in most ways Disadvantages: expensive and may take up most of your days for the next while
...a massive fan of the Stargate franchise since my older brother brought home the first season box set a couple of years ago and we sat down to watch it nearly every day.
Ok, so first I’ll begin with an explanation of the Stargate SG1 universe. Here goes. Humans are a the next step in the evolutionary path of a race of aliens known as the ‘Ancients’. They were a massively advanced race both in technoligy and mentaly who existed millions of years ... ...a device known as the Stargate that is capable of near instantanious travel between two of the devices usually situated on different planets though sometimes appear in space. So when the Ancients ascended they left behind stargates on thousands of worlds. Next we have a parasitic race known as the goa’uld which are symbiotes that burrow into a host body and take control of it usually enhanncing its abilities. But these symbiotes are all egomaniacs ...

And the battle against the Goa'uld continues...
Advantages: More of the same exciting action, great characterization Disadvantages: Some stories are boring.
...I am a big, big Stargate fan. The stargate series continues from where the original film left off. In the original Stargate movie, a team of soldiers set off to an alien planet called 'Abydos', through the Stargate (see pic below), to do some reconnosance. To cut the long story short, after some time on Abydos, they encountered some trouble in the form of Goa'ulds. A Goa'uld is a human who has a parasite inside of him and poses as a god to an amount ... ...episodes, SG-1 travels through the stargate and meets some other civilisation, causes some trouble and fixes it in some way. Most of the civilisations they meet are human (although they do meet aliens too), because it was found that humans on Earth are the 'people of the Tari' which means that all human life in the whole universe started in our planet. Amazingly, all humans of all planets speak English or whatever language you're happening to see ...

Best of Sci-fi
Advantages: Inspirational Disadvantages: Expencive
Stargate is without a shaow of a dout one of the best Sci-fi series ever created. Unlike the first season where the series was trying to create a credible storyline from the film, season two moves away from that and really show the viewer what stargate is really about. In season two a new race of alience is intruduced which is going to play important parts in the other seasons, apart from loads of other exiting new developments. Everything is based ...

Meet Darren. He's sixteen going on immortal.
Advantages: Some good casting, great special effects, entertaining storyline Disadvantages: Too silly and unrealistic for my liking
...under his wing at the Cirque du Freak and prepares him for the lifestyle that vampires lead. But when a war breaks out between the vampires and their deadly counterparts, Darren must learn how to fight in order to save himself, his family and the vampire population. ~ Cast ~ Darren - Chris Massoglia Larten Crepsley - John Reilly Steve - Josh Hutcherson Mr Tiny - Michael Cerveris Rebecca - Jessica Carlson Evra the Snake Boy - Patrick Fugit Murlaugh ... ...completely ridiculous and so gave Cirque du Freak a watch. Unfortunately though, this one generally falls into the ridiculous category. The two young actors playing best friends Darren and Steve, who both become vampires, are the most natural actors in the film and manage to combine their normal teenage life at school with turning into an vampire very well. They both play very different characters with Darren being sensible and caring, more cautious ...
