Advantages: More of the same exciting action, great characterization
Disadvantages: Some stories are boring.

I'm a huge Stargate fan. So much so that I refused to defile my love of the gate by buying into spin offs (even if technically sg1 is a spin off, hush!) Now that Stargate sg1 is finished I found my self at a loss as to where to get my next Stargate fix before the new movies come out. I decided to give in and bought Stargate Atlantis Season One. ...those new to the whole Stargate thing (possibly people from a different planet?) could follow it, it got good! After one episode I was hooked and kicking myself for not having watched it sooner. Stargate S.G.1 based on the Stargate movie. This series is one of the best science fiction series ever. The series follows S.G. 1 on their missions to other planets through the Stargate. The S.G. 1 team are made up of Jack O'Neill (2 L's), Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and eventually Teal'c. Colonel Jack O'Neill is very anti establishment and has a lot of funny one liners and always seems to be the one getting shot, blown up, zapped, transported ...
...Carter is the science geek, if it is broke or needs fixing she can fix it. She uses words like exponentially a lot. Amanda Tapping plays her. Daniel Jackson is an archaeologist who originally told the world that the pyramids were landing pads for alien ships. Micheal Shanks plays him. Teal'c is a Jaffa and he starts off as a "baddy" but he really does not beleive in the false "gods" the Goa'uld. He helps S.G. 1 to escape and becomes part of the team. ... Read review

Stargate is without a shaow of a dout one of the best Sci-fi series ever created. Unlike the first season where the series was trying to create a credible storyline from the film, season two moves away from that and really show the viewer what stargate is really about. Well, let me get to the point. Arsenal rule and Man U dont. I watched this film a year ago, with high hopes, i ignored everyone around me and after two hours, i cluctched my fist as the film just dissapointed me. The acting was poor with unbelieving characters and i will say this is one of the worst medieval films. The setting was awful and dressing was awful. Surely those days people would be way dirtier than what the main characters were wearing. ...
...character's cried when their french friend got killed! Fighting scenes was rubbish and predictable. Luckly Anna Friel saved the day with her brilliant french accent and good looks. I like Anna. Music was rubbish and everything was just rubbish. Dont watch this film. Really don't. This is a complete waste of time.Read the book instead. I personally prfer watching Science films than this. ...
