I have often passed this DVD in my local supermarkets wondering whether it was worth watching. It has got a cover a bit similar to The Day After Tomorrow scene, unfortunately the security tag on the back of the DVD has always prevented me from reading its brief description which says "From visionary producer J.J. Abrams (Lost) and director Matt Reeves comes the worldwide sensation of nonstop terror and suspense everyone is talking about." Perhaps ...

I want your boots, your clothes and your Camel!

Advantages: Quite funny, not too much dialogue, great music score! A stunned Camel!
Disadvantages: Atrocious acting, lots of pointless groping!

Close encounters of the third kind

Advantages: Classic compelling sci fi

Review of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (Collector's Edition) (DVD)

Good for the adrenaline junkies out there

Advantages: Good actor, good effects and a sound plot
Disadvantages: A better supporting cast could have been found

...this movie coming out in the cinemas but at the time I wasn't too enthusiastic on going. I would realize my mistake when I rented it a couple of months later on DVD. Although watching the prequel Pitch Black is not a must, it sheds some light on some of the aspects in Chronicles of Riddick, especially Riddick's encounter with previous characters such as Imam and Jack (the girl).
