Season 3 of TNG - Where it really kicked off

Advantages: Really stepping up from season 2 will great episodes
Disadvantages: Not too many special features included

...think that season 3 of Star Trek The Next Generation is where the show really came into its own and started to cast off the shadow left by the original series. Season 3 has some terrific science fiction stories told with classic episodes like "Yesterday's Enterprise", "The Defector", "Best Of Both Worlds Part I" and "Sarek" which sees Mark Lenard return as Spocks father. Advantages: Seeing the Enterprise in more glory than before
Disadvantages: Saying goodbye to favourite characters

Nemisis, the tenth outing for Star Trek and the last for the 'Next Generation' crew and captain. The story centres around the takeover of the Romulan Empire by the Remuns.... a servile race to the Romulans who spend most of their lives underground working in mines or in slavery...all in the dark. Advantages: a good way of learning the worlds of star trek
