Knowing the future
Advantages: Fantastic quality, brilliant story

What a fantastic film this is!
I watched this film on Blu-ray and I must say I was totally engrossed in it. The story is phenomenal.
The outline of the film::
Nicolas Cage play's a professor who has a young son. His son's school 50 years ago placed a time capsule for the future in which his son is handed a envelope which contains hundreds of numbers written on a piece of paper. The numbers on the paper do not make sense at first, until Nicolas ...
...dates. The number reveal 9/11 and future ones that haven’t yet occurred. He also finds out that the numbers are not only dates but longitude and latitude points on which disaster will strike. His son is a chosen boy who will eventually move elsewhere with the whispering people.
The last numbers on the paper is the end of the world where a huge event will wipe out the entire planet minus the chosen children who will be taken by the whispering people ...

Something about a 'Legend' just stays with you
Advantages: very believable, excelent plot
Disadvantages: can be confusing to some people
...alone for all those years. I think that this movie was very well written from the main plot to the side plots everything fit together and made it believable. It was the kind of movie you just want to watch again and each time you do there seems to be something else you didn't notice that just adds to the believable plot. ...

"Knowing' the end is the best part!
Advantages: nice ending that ties it all together
Disadvantages: somewhat confusing
This movies was an end of the world type scenario that asks the question 'What would you do if you *Knew*?" I was Nicolas Cage was on top of his game in this. There were some things that were left a little confusing at the end but overall the movie was made well. I do not think that this would be the movie you would want to watch if you were looking for something that would leave you scared. I am not a big horror films person and hate being scared ...
...just the right amount of scary through it with a nice wrap up at the end that wont keep you up all night. I really liked how aspects of the film that are introduced in the beginning of the film are carried down until the end. It's hard to explain what this movie is about without giving it away so if you want to 'Know' you will have to check it out! ...

What happens when the numbers run out?
Advantages: Cage was fab, storyline good, action excellent
Disadvantages: The stupid ending!
I have had Knowing on my rental list with lovefilm since before it came out, so to say I was looking forward to it would be a slight understatement. So imagine my dissapointment when it was AVERAGE! I took it as a personal insult that the producer ended the film the way they did. Riduculous I tell you!
So, rant over, you probably want to know what it's about. The film opens in 1959 in an elementary school. The pupils are all given the task of drawing ...

Let the Tournament begin
Advantages: Good storyline and acting, excellent special effects
Disadvantages: just the fact there was a lot missing from the book
