FANTASTIC!

Advantages: Brilliant stories, fantastic acting.
Disadvantages: Cutdown confidentials instead of full episode

The first series of Doctor Who I saw was series 4. I thought it was brilliant and instantly loved it so obviously wanted to watch the rest of the series to see what other amazing stories there were. To describe the First SEries in one word I would have to say it was FANTASTIC! Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor is brilliant and Billie Piper as his companion Rose means there's lots of laughs along the way too. In the first episode ROSE the Doctor ...
...life and travel with the Doctor in his TARDIS. In the second episode THE END OF THE WORLD they travel to platform one to see the end of Earth. There are loads of different aliens on board and some robot spiders which are trying to destroy the ship they are on and kill everyone. In the third episode THE UNQUIET DEAD the Doctor takes Rose to Cardiff in 1869 by mistake and they meet Charles Dickens. They also meet a new alien race the Gelth who lost ...

A four episode disc of pure Doctor entertainment

Advantages: Brilliant once more
Disadvantages: Nothing really

...first series of the revamped Doctor Who has a bit of a bonus: 4 episodes instead of 3! The previous two discs had 3 episodes each. This disc gives us episodes 7-10. With only 13 episodes in the series, up to this point I had reached the halfway point pretty much in the series, and I had been hooked instantly in the first episode. My interest had not waned at all in watching these episodes. After a 13 year break from the TV series, with only a TV ...
...In this episode, the Doctor and Rose emerge from the TARDIS to find themselves in the year 200,000 on Satellite 5, a strange space station circling the planet transmitting news, news and more news. They discover that the workers live only to gain promotion, and are all keen to do so, which will result in them being sent up to level 500. Of course, before long, the Doctor realises something is not right, and sets off to level 500 to find out why there ...

You Look Like a Radioactive Tampon

Advantages: Great Direction and Acting
Disadvantages: Too Slow for some

Moon reminds me a lot of those big weighty Sci-fi films of the seventies where it was all about atmosphere, storyline and your imagination rather than riotous special effects and wise cracking aliens. This film is utterly beguiling, its tense but strangely relaxing, all of these is down to two men, the director Duncan Jones and the star Sam Rockwell. This is Jones' first feature film and its an incredibly impressive debut, he eschewed using his father ...
...it is a really fantastic film which is a credit to him. Starring Sam Rockwell as Sam, the only worker on an automated lunar mining complex. He has been working on his own for nearly three years and nearing the end of his term in space he feels lonely, isolated and confused....as anyone would, I imagine. With only a droid, Gerty (Voiced by Kevin Spacey) for company, Sam is alone and starts to feel a world apart from Earth, he feels he is alone but ...
