Going Ape
Advantages: Very good make-up and costumes, great twist at the end
Disadvantages: Not a film to be watched over and over
Planet of the Apes is a re-make of a previous film by the same name. I had only seen bits of the original film and I thought I knew what the story line was but with this remake it had been altered and brought up to date. The acting is pretty good, but it's hard to really enjoy it when you know in the back of your head that it's just actors and actresses prancing about in costume, but if you can look past that, the film can be enjoyable. Burn baby burn!
Advantages: Some amazing dragons...wow!
Disadvantages: The Americanisms in the film...just no need!
I was looking forward to this fantasy/sci fi Dragon epic of a movie...and I wasn't disappointed! The premis of this film is a good one...whilst digging extensions to the tube lines, engineers discover a spherical object...that opens up a can of worms...or in this case a huge dragon!!! What follows is a rush through what happens when the dragons hatched and the world was taken over by them.... pages of newspapers from the battles and the loss of countries....which ...

Save the Cheerleader; Save Me From Boredom
Advantages: Very entertaining, good plot and characters
Disadvantages: Don't buy this DVD - buy the whole series.

Heroes is a programme that I always heard great things about and always wanted to try, but since until recently all the DVDs were unreasonably expensive, I only got to watch it for the first time last week. I’m not sure how legal it is to watch TV shows online without paying, but since all episodes of Heroes are available to watch on NBC.com if you live in the United States, I don’t feel too bad about watching them elsewhere ...
