Science defying Madness!

Advantages: easy to watch, reasonably priced, good picture
Disadvantages: very unrealistic

...I remembered her saying she wanted to see it at the cinema, but we never got round to going. I admit, i was a little uninterested as the whole concept seemed a bit ridiculous. If you haven't seen the trailer, then it wont be spoiling it too much that the premise of the film is action orientated and there's physics defying gun play where the main characters make bullets travel in circles and bends in order to kill people they shouldn't be able too. ...
...will be most disappointed. The story line centres around a young chap doing 9-5 in an office job. He's not happy in his work or his life. One day he bumps into Angelina Jolie's character ("Fox") in a chemist she is apparently there to save his life from an assassin, who also killed his father. Review of Wanted (Blu-ray)

Sci-Fi Action at it's finest!

Advantages: You'll want to watch the sequel straight away and it's there in one box!
Disadvantages: Doom is fairly generic and formulaic. Still worth a watch though.

...In a nut-shell: Pitch Black - Vin Diesel as the mysterious and dangerous Riddick. A murderous fugitive stranded on a barren planet after their ship crashes with some bounty hunters and some innocent passengers. As Riddick attempts to escape his captives it soon becomes clear their are more pressing dangers on this planet. He may be a killer, but a killer with a good soul as he saves more than just himself. Chronicles of Riddick - Vin Diesel again ...
...out of luck and on the run this time he finds himself on the run from a rampaging cult called the Necromongers set on Galactic domination and Riddick is in their way! Can he survive their supernatural power, could he even be the key to human survival? The Riddick storylines are engrossing and well thought out with some cracking special effects. Transformers....dollars in disguise!

Advantages: Supern Blu-Ray special effects
Disadvantages: Terrible acting

...new films though. Transformers #1 (2007) is also the first huge smash hit on Blu-Ray, the multi coloured robots and startlingly realistic special effects seeing huge rental and sales grosses on the new format. If you're getting a Blu-Ray player or buying one as a present this Christmas then get any of the two Transformers movies for your first play as they will look amazing on it, especially is you have the big TV. Part two is not so good but sexy ...

Review of Transformers - Revenge Of The Fallen

Sometimes, Ignorance is bliss

Advantages: clever thriller, good story, well acted
Disadvantages: bit depressing?

Dont misunderstand my review title, this is a cracking film. You can nearly always say that about Nicolas Cage films, but this one really is! The premise is simple. There are many disasters happening on earth, for some reason, aliens decide to warn mankind about the upcoming disasters by "whispering" them to a little girl in the 1950's. Unfortuneately, that girl does nothing with the information other than write it down on a bit of paper and allow ...
...capsule. The capsule is dug up in the current day and discovered by Nicolas Cage's character. He soon discovers the code in the series of numbers written on the page and works out that the code tells of impending disasters, when they will happen, how many will die and the location. The story continues on along this path, with a worrying fortelling of the end of days. We don't know what will happen right until the end. I wont ruin it for you either, ...

Return To Form!

Advantages: Classy return to form, set in the future! very well done!
Disadvantages: should have been an 18 to be its best!
