Groundbreaking, but not the way intended
Advantages: Good storyline and good chracters Disadvantages: Excessive sex
Urotsukidoji (Translated into English as "The Wandering Child") is a sextet of stories. The first story (which is the one I will be reviewing) is called the "Legend of the Overfiend).
The storyline.
Mankind (The "Nin-jin-Kai") has lived in relative ignorance for thousands of years thinking they were the only life forms in the universe. But it soon comes to light they are not alone! Two worlds exist parallel to their world. Firstly there is the ... ...the race is on!
Urotsukidoji fell into some pretty hot water in its time. Nobody in the UK had ever seen Animation like this. Before the likes of this and "Akira" (another classic) came, animation was thought of for children. Demons killing and raping young girls wasn't generally thought of the kind material you'd show your niece and nephew! People complained that this would be terrible if it fell into the hands of a young child! I personally, think ...

Boldly going blah blah blah....
Advantages: A brand new Enterprise! Disadvantages: It feels so slow, it lacks the pace of an adventurous Sci-fi film!
...with Kirks every whim! Star Trek five was directed by Leonard Nimoy and is dare I say....the weakest of the Star Trek movie franchise. To be fair to it though, there are so moments of genius. I loved Mr. Spock, Bones and Kirk singing 'Row Row Row your boat' around the camp fire. It is a touching moment, especially when Kirk laments that he has always known that he will die alone...it is like the last supper for three dear colleagues...who have become ... ...one was burnt up in Star Trek 3). It was originally the USS Yorktown, but was renamed in honour of Kirk and his crew who had just saved Earth...again (see Star Trek 4)! The scenes with the rocket boots are also really well done and a lot of fun. The film is about the search for God and features many of the fine original cast. it also, features Spocks brother...a Vulcan who has enbraced his 'humanity'. the film has all of the elements that we have ...

Inviting Your Ancestors Round for Dinner?
Advantages: Delightfully weird Disadvantages: Gives headaches to the casual viewer
...have a new series of Doctor Who which is utterly brilliant. However, I've not made major revisions to the text as Ghost Light remains very much the end of an era)
Doctor Who effectively died in 1989. The franchise grasped the full significance of its key theme of regeneration, and reinvented itself as a series of bottom-kicking novels embracing the darker elements that had remained implicit in the original series. The flame was kept alive, and occasionally ... ...adventure, but basically, the Doctor walked into his time-travelling Police Box for the last time in the last decade but one. But it's generally agreed that the producers saved the best until last. Doctor Who's last season was its strongest for many years, with all of its four stories finding fanatical support among some sections of the fan community. It wasn't supposed to be the end, script editor Andrew Cartmel had a definite idea of where he wanted ...

...and now a word from William Shatner...
Advantages: All of the regular cast return Disadvantages: Erm, everything else
...1988:
"I'm fed up. Star Trek was meant to be MY series, MINE. I was the star. First billed. I was the one who was meant to get all of the girls and who the series was meant to be based around. But instead that SOB Leonard Nimoy got too much credit. Just for sticking on some pointy ears and pretending to have no emotions. When the show finished he got straight onto a starring role on Mission Impossible, and I got to do hardly anything and even had ... ...effects and bad effects. It's Star Trek - they'll come anyway.
"What? You'll only let me direct 1 film? But Nimoy directed 2. It's not fair. I'm going to throw a tantrum. Oh, it's not going to work? OK then, I'll just make a rubbish movie, that'll show you..."
...and so he did. ...

God knows why i watched this
Advantages: NONE, its terrible Disadvantages: I don't have enough characters to list them
For some unfathomable reason I watched this on Sky about a month ago. Must have been an od lapse of bad taste. Don't watch this movie unless you want to be labeled a baffon with no class what-so-ever. I won't tell you the plot because there isn't one basically.
The usual thing, a disease has wiped out most of humanity and now there is this one warlord who is a complete butchering phsyco (for no real reason, he just is) that goes around killing everyone. ... ...was probably assasinated after this film anyway. Lets just say he had the acting expertise of a wombat. He also had the strange need to contort his face into the look of one who has constipation every five minutes. Must have no Climoval in the future.......
Jean Claudde Van Dam (or how ever you spell it, I'll just call him JCVD from now on). Is probably one of the worst actors in the history of bad actors. I have not seen one movie of his which ...
