In search of the Perfect Wife

Advantages: Lots of action?
Disadvantages: Weak plot, very cheesy

...watching, his last suggestion was Cherry 2000 and oh dear what a bad choice! The film starts off with Sam Treadwell, played by David Andrews, enjoying coming home from work to his lovely wife who has his tea ready and the house spotless for him. After tea they end up on the kitchen floor getting 'close' but the sink has been left on and is overflowing. As the water comes onto the floor Cherry, his wife, starts to go crazy and then blows a fuse. ...
...takes Cherry to his friend who works with the androids and he is told that she is not repairable and the model is no longer made. Sam gets the chip from Cherry so if he gets a new model he can insert this chip and she will have all the same memories. TERRIFYING STUFF (FF WO)

Advantages: Good for kids, a good villain
Disadvantages: Dolph Lundgren is terrible, has dated pretty badly

...minions for the title of Masters of the Universe, or something. The Cosmic Key is pretty important to the plot, perhaps that is all you need to know. One of the most amusing highlights of the film, which I failed to pick up on when I was a child, was that the Cosmic Key gets picked up by a musician and his girlfriend, who believe it to be a new Japanese synthesiser. You Look Like a Radioactive Tampon

Advantages: Great Direction and Acting
Disadvantages: Too Slow for some

Moon reminds me a lot of those big weighty Sci-fi films of the seventies where it was all about atmosphere, storyline and your imagination rather than riotous special effects and wise cracking aliens. Sometimes, Ignorance is bliss

Advantages: clever thriller, good story, well acted

Dont misunderstand my review title, this is a cracking film. You can nearly always say that about Nicolas Cage films, but this one really is! The premise is simple. There are many disasters happening on earth, for some reason, aliens decide to warn mankind about the upcoming disasters by "whispering" them to a little girl in the 1950's. Unfortuneately, that girl does nothing with the information other than write it down on a bit of paper and allow ...
...capsule. The capsule is dug up in the current day and discovered by Nicolas Cage's character. He soon discovers the code in the series of numbers written on the page and works out that the code tells of impending disasters, when they will happen, how many will die and the location.
