Advantages: A brilliant film
Disadvantages: None

...and Jake come across four aliens on the roof who announce that they are going to kill all the humans and take over the world. At first it seems hard to believe that the two-foot tall, cute looking things can be so dangerous, but when they bring out their powerful high-tech weapons and take control of Ricky with a mind control device, the pair realise they are much more menacing than they seem. Gathering the rest of the Pearson children, along with ...

Transformers....dollars in disguise!

Advantages: Supern Blu-Ray special effects
Disadvantages: Terrible acting

...new films though. Transformers #1 (2007) is also the first huge smash hit on Blu-Ray, the multi coloured robots and startlingly realistic special effects seeing huge rental and sales grosses on the new format. If you're getting a Blu-Ray player or buying one as a present this Christmas then get any of the two Transformers movies for your first play as they will look amazing on it, especially is you have the big TV. Part two is not so good but sexy ...

Fried prawns for supper in district 9

Advantages: Great special effects; good character development, original.
Disadvantages: Gory for goryness sake; slow introduction

...camp in Johannesburg known as District 9. The area has since deteriorated into a slum where food is scarce and crime is rampant. A group of Nigerians based in the district are taking advantage of the aliens and running the area like a dictatorship. As local South African residents do not want their city overrun with crime and aliens a corporation known as Multi-National United (MNU) has been tasked with relocating the entire race of two million to ...
...too much away the film follows the main character Wikus van der Merwe who and is set after its events and consists of two main parts, the first part is in a documentary style. This consists of MNU video footage which was supposedly documenting their attempts to disperse the aliens, Wikus was in charge of the operation. This archive footage makes up over half the film and I personally found it getting a little tedious, this plot setting just took ...

Dominion over other Start Trek franchises!

Advantages: The end of season episodes..always with a bang!
Disadvantages: The middle seasons lack the bite of later ones

...you ask? Well in essence Star Trek was always about a star ship, travelling off around the galaxy and having adventures. In this series, the crew are all aboard a space station, which is positioned at the mouth of a worm hole...allowing travel to the other side of the galaxy (the gamma quadrant) in a matter of minutes...cool eh! Deep Space nine enjoys a strong cast and covers a wide range of issues as is common in the start trek genre, of particular ...
...fall of communism. Most Star Trek series run for around seven series and Deep Space Nine manages to stay the distance...it does have a wobble in the middle but the Dominion Wars brought it right back to being brilliant. One of the best thigs about the Dominion War is the USS Defiant. An amazing ship for Star Trek as it only has one purpose...War. it has a cloaking device, reinforced armour...pulse phasers, quantum torpedoes...it really is the business! ...
