**Brief description of the film and what happens**
The film opens with a bang as a helpless teenager at high school is being stalked and comically is chased by a masked criminal and shes killed!. Then Big news at her school means new reporters all over the place and "gail weatherstorm" and special officer Doofy add to the mix. Then the film gets in full flow when part of innocent cindy's friends begin to be murdered by this masked murderer! these murderings bring along much humour throughout as the film is much more funny at the beginning than to towards the end. They are haunted by this criminal as he knows that about what they did last halloween, sounds familiar huh? They happened to have murdered an old man accidentally on halloween which comes back to haunt them in the form of death!
**Things you can expect to see during Scary movie!**
You can expect to see humour involving female transvestines with saggy balls, an old
granny being run down by a piano hurtling down the stairs, a man so stoned he is shot in the lungs and puffs of smoke are relaeased, a retarded policeman and gay humour- this combination is lethally funny!
** What does and doesn't work in the film**
Only about 30-40% of the jokes in Scary Movie work or made me laugh. There are a lot of poorly constructed jokes and insensitive gags. However, considering how many gags there are even if only 50% of them work it still gives a wide range of things to laugh and talk about the next day!
**What is the idea/plot of the movie and what is based around?**
Obviously seeing this film it tells me the plot was mainly meant to be "Scream" but there are quite frequent references to films such as "I know what you did last summer" and "scream 2" aswell as less frequent references to "elcetion" and " the blair witch project" and "the sixth sense" along with " the matrix." If you think about all these films mixed together to create a concoction twisted around with humour you get a great source of humour to play on!
**Problems with the film**One problem with this type of movie is a tendency start hilarious and end up boring and Scary Movie suffers from this big time! At the start of the film i was crying, with laughter but by the end i was crying with boredom! A shorter, tighter version of Scary Movie probably would have been better including less poorly thought out scenes and more well developed good comic gags! But the film's running length of 82 minutes is already on the low side. Nevertheless, the material generates so much laughter that byt he end you only remember the good bits at the start!
**Recommended audience and recommended by me?**
I definitely recommend this film to anybody who isn't faint hearted likes a laugh at modern day humour and will NOT get offended if they saw a small penis or something of a similar nature! Any age group really even though it is suggested 18 years of age or more i recommend this product to any one that would understand the humour -and also if you are under age make sure you get permission!!! It's hilarious to some and sick-minded humour to others so i suggest you get it see it and you will see what i mean! I personally think this is an outstanding movie with plenty of hilarious action and comedy packed with mickey takes and gags and really made me laugh. i cannot wait till the next one comes out in the series of 3- so far! SO ..... GET IT NOW!!

I bought this for £6.99 but i think you can buy it for well under a fiver! Look in places such as Blockbusters and WHsmiths or Game as these are reliable places to look and will certainly do you a deal.
