The story goes from the character, Adam waking up in a trapped toilet with another guy named Dr Gordon, whom he had been spying on, both of their legs tied to big pipes by chains. In the centre of the room lies a dead guy, who is actually not dead. Dr. Gordon has been given the task of killing Adam before 6 o'clock or else his wife and daughter are going to be murdered. Adam finds 2 saws perfect enough only to slice through their flesh. The time keeps ticking and the various clues scattered around in the room are meant to help both of them, even though one of them has to die. The opening movie of the saw series comes as a total mind rattling series of puzzles and chaos. But beware viewer discretion is advised. You really need some guts to see the movie because its got some heavy gore and totally heavy violence.
