I guess what has to be said of Saw, is that it is one of the most twisted, unique, and clever horror films of this decade. Sadly, it is quite unusual for a horror to have alot of plot and imagination these days, but Saw has both of these qualities, and more. The film begins with two men (Adam, and Dr Gorden) waking up in a dark dingy bathroom and they find themselves chained to opposite ends of the room by their feet. There is a dead body in the middle of the room, and in one of his hands is a tape player. Each of the men find tapes in their pockets and they play them to find out what they must do to escape the room alive.
The man who has put them in the room is the famous "Jigsaw Killer". Jigsaw kidnaps people who he feels do not appreciate their lives and make them want to live by placing them in various situations where they must either go through alot of pain or suffering of some kind to make it out alive. One of the best things about Saw is the ending. The huge twist at the end is enough to give you goosebumps every time you watch it.
I give the film five stars in all, but the DVD 4 stars, because of the lack of extras. From what I can remember there is a music video, the making of the music video and a mini featurette. But the main reason for buying the DVD is the film, which is one of the best I've ever seen.

I'm far too wussy for any of the Saw films!
