...you should live. The first saw basically shows you the idea behind the murderer and why he does it. he does it to people who don't appreciate what they have people like drug takers self harmers and cheaters. He chose the 2 men as one of them was having an affair and the other was paid to take pictures of him having the affair ... this way they are both related in some way. The murderer likes to give them clues and ways to escape because if they are ... ...off his foot with a saw hence the film title.
-----Saw 2-----
In this saw again he has the various murders at the beginning which police are trying to work out who did them. This time jigsaw has slipped up and left a clue behind. The police then find him but where he lives is set up with traps. The police then find him but only to discover that jigsaw has trapped the main agents soon in a house with other victims. For a girl of my age you may find it quite unusual for me to be reviewing this product as most of you are probably aware that it is very gruesome and gory. Despite this i love all three of the saws and it never fails to bring more blood and gore to the table. I received this as a gift from my dad because he knows how much i love them! I think he may of paid around 20 pound for them but it's well worth it.

The murderer likes to give them clues and ways to escape because if they are strong enought they will do it and deserve there life. There is a twist all of them but this one is particular well thought out but i dont want to give too much away. In the end the guy having the affair cuts off his foot with a saw hence the film title.
-----Saw 2----- In this saw again he has the various murders at the beginning which police are trying to work out who did them. This time jigsaw has slipped up and left a clue behind. The police then find him but where he lives is set up with traps. The police then find him but only to discover that jigsaw has trapped the main agents soon in a house with other victims. The house contains poison which the victims are constantly breathing in and in order to cure them they need to locate antidotes in different places in order to survive. Once again all the victims are cleverly linked as all of them have been arrested by the main agent. Jigsaw sets a task to the agent but fails to see it through resulting in another twist. Also in this saw jigsaw has a helper. Its very gripping and my favourite of the three!! Its a must see.
-----Saw 3----- This one is a little different as it mainly evolves around jigsaws helper. She starts the murders in the beginning but does not play by the rules that jigsaw has set. This time the test is on her. She kidnaps a surgeon in order to save jigsaw from dying but if he does the surgeous is rigged up with a device which kills her instantly. what the surgeon does not know is that her husband has also been kidnapped and is trapped in the wharehouse and needs to complete some tasks of his own. He has the chance to come face to face with the witnesses and killer of his young son. He does not know that his wife is there performing surgery on the person who put him there. Husband and wife reunite and the end but jigsaws helper fails to pass the test and results in a shock ending. Again i do not want to say too much as i think all three are great films and must sees.
All 3 contain Tobin Bell who plays Jigsaw and gives an exceptional performance. Well worth a purchase in my opinion. Also saw 4 is due out in october this year which continues from saw 3 i'm looking forward to it already!

Quick review of Saw Trilogy (Box Set) (DVD)
As trilogys go there have been some dire ones but this one is one of the better ones. It's as if it's just one long film, though pretty seemless, as one film ends and the other starts. I'm a special effects addict in films and this has them in bucket loads. Thats not to say its a gore fest, it just makes you cringe as the victims are put into the traps. All in all its a nice "trilogy" to have in your collection.
Dare you play the game... Bring on Saw IV ...

Advantages: Great price, 3 great movies, Gore fans will love it! Disadvantages: None- I loved it.
...these are must see movies. Saw trilogy remarkably reworks the horror genre by adding a plot that is genuinely unique and keeps you guessing until the very end. There is no holding back when it comes to scene sheer violence and terror on screen as wrong doers are tortured.
The strange part is that the killer in the movies does not think he is a killer, he believes that he is helping the victims. The people he tortures have all done something wrong ... ...to play a terrifying game to realise there errors and live better lives. The trap/death scenes are unique in each movie and will live you hiding behind your sofa. It's a must watch to see these scenes alone.
A great addition for any gore fan. "Do you want to play a game?" ...

Advantages: One of the most original films of all time! Disadvantages: Sometimes can go abit over board with blood and guts etc.
...havent seen any of this Saw collection before then it is a must see...although i wouldnt recomend it if you are of the faint hearted. With its gruesome twists and turns in its story lines, Saw 1, 2 and 3 will keep you guessing throughout.
The extreme editions bring a whole new light on the Saw collection with even more twisted scenes and extras.
I would strongly recomend this if your a fan of mind-bending thrillers and a lover of 'guts and gore' ... ...this isnt the film for you and could leave you feeling quesy for along time. Also if you are interested in watching the fourth film from all the hype, i strongly recomend you watch these three first. The story line in the end turns out to be one long flowing one. ...

Advantages: Strong plot lines, great performances, great writing and effects! Disadvantages: none, the films keep getting stronger!
...horror films gory then the Saw triology is for you!!
As a huge fan of horror/thriller films, I\'ve been slightly unimpressed with recent efforts of horror films- purely relying on girls with long dark lank hair jumping out infront of the screen for cheap thrills.
Many of these newer films lacked any story, twists or individuality- that was until the Saw series came along!
A strong story line, accompainied by amazing (and brutal!) special effects ... ...person in charge of the sick games! This is an example of how well written it is. All three films are completely different, unlike other triologies that often have the last 2 as weaker copies of the first! The Saw films just get better and better!! A must see!!!! ...

Contains the horror films SAW - UNCUT, SAW 2 and SAW 3 - EXTREME EDITION. In SAW - UNCUT, Adam and Dr. Gordon are chained in a vile, disgusting bathroom, separated by a bloody corpse holding a gun and a tape recorder. They are each given a saw--the only obvious way out is to cut one of their feet off. A serial killer called Jigsaw who specialises in torturing morally bereft strangers is playing a game with them: Gordon has less than eight hours to kill Adam or else the doctor's wife and daughter will be murdered. In SAW 2, Jigsaw--dying of cancer--lets himself get caught, only to show Detective Eric Matthews that his son has been taken hostage with seven other people, all of whom have been placed in a house of horrors with only the slimmest chance of escaping. Jigsaw promises Matthews that Daniel will live only if the cop follows the rules of the game, but time is running out, as the captives' bodies have been poisoned with a toxin that will soon destroy them. SAW 3 sees serial killer Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda place a doctor in an unhappy marriage and a distraught man who is having trouble getting over the loss of his son at the hands of a drunk driver in a murderous situation.
