Advantages: A full game that is played somewhat well, but… Disadvantages: … the movie is the closest among the four to other horror movies
Saw II [film only]
When I started reviewing Saw IV, I didn't know I would end up reconsidering all the rest, but here I am thinking of Saw II, on paper, after finishing the other three. As is the case with the rest of my reviews, I will not reveal any of the gory bits that you'll see in this film, for in such movies like this one from which no great value can be gained, these details will be a part of your experience, although they are given away ... ...chosen to be punished gradually, Saw II connects the destiny of a number of people who appear to be strangers, yet have something in common. They are imprisoned by Jigsaw [Tobin Bell] in a deserted house that is filled with nerve gas slowly, and they are given two hours to play the game and find the antidotes. What makes the case even more difficult is that one of these prisoners is the son of Eric Matthews [Donnie Wahlberg] who works on Jigsaw's ...

...on a mission with the Saw movies, I was really impressed with Saw which I only watched a couple of days ago, that I couldn't wait to watch the sequel SAW 2.
I left off in Saw astounded by the twists and turns that this film had. I was not ancipating the ending and it sure did come as a shock to me when you realised that who you actually thought was the Jigsaw was in actual fact the person that the game was on, and that Jigsaw had been present in ... ...brains out. Very clever!
Saw 2 has much more budget than Saw. Saw was very low budget and you could tell it was, where as they have thrown a hell of a lot more money into this sequel that was produced. Saw 2 starts with a recap of what happened at the end of SAW which is great because if you followed these from the cinema it would be quite easy to forget what happened in the last part however I have literally watched the two days apart and cannot ...

Advantages: Well made and great story Disadvantages: Have to wait for saw 3 (if there is one)
After seeing Saw the original i could not wait to see this one.
Staring: Donnie Wahlberg, Franky G, Glen Plummer, beverly Mitchell, Dina Meyer, Emanuelle Vauger, Erik Knudsen, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell
Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman
Written by Darren Lynn Bousman and Leigh Whannell Jigsaw, the manic murderer ( Although jigsaw claims he never comits a murder as the victims kill them selves), is back with a twist.
Like the first one jigsaw ... ...will die of poisoning.
Saw 2 uses one of jigsaws previous victims ( The one that survived in the original film) and she helps the other victims try to solve the clues that are left for them, as in the original none of the people in the house get away lightly, there is plent of blood and gore.... it reminds me a little of Big Brother...lol.
The Detective in charge finds and captures jigsaw and discover that the whole nightmare is being videoed and ...

Advantages: Plenty of innovative gore, if you like that sort of thing! Disadvantages: Plot is identified very early
...a tape recorder and a saw lying between them. They soon learn that they are part of an elaborate game designed by a serial killer known as Jigsaw. Now, to make things a little different, Jigsaw doesn't murder his victims with an axe or razor-sharp claws. His modus operandi is to place them in life-or-death situations that test their survival instincts. If they play by his ghoulish rules and live, they're free to go. But if they can't meet his demands ... ...was more of a mystery, Saw II is essentially a haunted-house picture minus the ghosts and goblins. It's also a more formulaic film; all the usual horror-movie types are present and accounted for (the slut, the tough guy, the shrieking co-ed with the heaving cleavage) and they meet their maker in the expected order. Meanwhile, the scenes between Jigsaw and Mason feel cribbed from a Thomas Harris novel, with the killer alternately taunting the detective ...

DVD Description
In SAW, a huge horror hit in 2004, a masked man called Jigsaw orchestrated the kidnapping of two people, chained them in a disgusting bathroom in an abandoned house, and played vicious, brutal mind games with them that potentially could lead to their freedom. Jigsaw is back for more gory fun in SAW II, but this time he comes out from behind the mask to terrorise a troubled cop face-to-face. Tobin Bell reprises his brief role as Jigsaw in the first film with a major starring turn in the sequel. Dying of cancer, Jigsaw lets himself get caught, only to show Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) that his son, Daniel (Erik Knudsen), has been taken hostage with seven other people, all of whom have been placed in a house of horrors with only the slimmest chance of escaping. Jigsaw promises Matthews that Daniel will live only if the cop follows the rules of the game, but time is running out, as the captives' bodies have been poisoned with a toxin that will soon destroy them. Meanwhile, in the dank, mysterious, booby-trapped house, the ever-more-desperate group of people (including Shawnee Smith, who is back as Amanda, the lone survivor of SAW) furiously try to find their connection to each other and a way out, but blood and violence lie in their path. Like its predecessor, SAW II is a frightening thriller filled with plenty of tricks and treats to satisfy even the most jaded horror fan.

Review: A super shocking tale of terror (Daily Star, )
It takes the lead with its smoother landing, which is again primed to blow the movie wide open, but manages a more compelling job of it than the original's cheat finish. (Entertainment Weekly, )
Terrifying and chilling (Sunday Mirror, )
