Advantages: Amazing graphics, makes things stand out and realistic. Disadvantages: Can't see much in some scenes. (Near Blackness)
...have seen all of the Saw movies up to date and i think they are pretty much all the same, but with different types of games played in each one. All the same i still think that seeing the film is a good experience. This film links back to the previous episodes and i think it would be best to watch the first two before seeing this one, even though there are some flashbacks.
I don't want to ruin the film for you, so i won't be discussing any of the ... ...to mention is the gory scenes. Each game ends up with someone destroying themself, to save their life and most of the time, they think to do so too late. This blu-ray disc is the best way to get the most out of this film. The graphics are brilliant and the characters jump out of the screen.
The twist towards the end of the movie may make you confused, so if you do buy or watch this movie I would pay close attention to what is going on throughout ...

Advantages: Much blooood, cool sound effects and made so realistic Disadvantages: Not for the weak ones...
...the main thing, in the saw 1 & 2, John only wants to play a game, and in this part, his daughter or whoever continues coz he is dieing in brain tumour. The movie ends with a shot of John's corpse lying on the bed.
Through much blood, brutality and sick scenes this movie is going through. Much pain and even this is psychedelic, coz while watching this movie sometimes I was feeling something also in my leg or in my arm or in my back.... A very good ...

Advantages: More gore Disadvantages: Games weren't as well thought out as before
Read my reviews for Saw and Saw 2 if you want to know where we are in the series.
We start of back in the bathroom with Eric Matthews chained to the pipe by his ankle, a la Saw.
Leaving him alone for a wee while as he's not really central to the plot...
A guy finds himself in a box, raised up on a forklift... when he gets out of the box he has to attempt to forgive those who a) didn't save his son b) didn't jail his son's killer for long enough ... ...is signed up to do Saw 4. He makes a much better effort of this than he did first time round, where he had to combine writing and directing which rarely works!
The cast again features Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, Shawnee Smith as Amanda, Donnie Wahlberg as Eric but also introduces a couple of new characters in Scotsman Angus Macfadyen as Jeff (the guy in the box) and Iranian Bahar Soomekh, as his wife Lynn.
The two newbies do a great job of showing their ...

Advantages: Great Psychological horror movie Disadvantages: Could make you have nightmares!
...you have not heard of Saw but love extreme horror movies then I can recommend this edition.
There is a new apprentice, the psychological games take the characters to the edge, will they survive or not? They will be made to make life or death decisions. Sometimes for themselves & sometimes for others. There are some really great special effects throughout . Be warned - Not for the faint hearted.
I have seen all three films and advise you that it ...

Advantages: relatively low budget straight forward flick Disadvantages: being rinsed out somewhat
...Okay I have been following the SAW series from the beginning, and it is starting to falter just like many sequels (scream, terminator, batman) to name a few, here we catch up with Jigsaw who is now ill (or is he) so he gets help, his helper takes on his mantle and carries out his dirty deeds with mechanical effectiveness. Anyone who sinned in the past were prime targets, but now the stakes are upped when seemingly innocent targets are pulled into the game and given choices in relation to their emotional temperament. (Basically playing mind games), this third installment carries off from where 2 left off, as jig is meticulous, you should know what that means. In retrospect it is not as revealing as the first two installments, which is the only let down....

Advantages: Soo much gore! Disadvantages: Confusing ending (for me anyway lol)
...This film does not dissapoint at all! Even more gory than the first two which you would think is not possible but believe me it is! I love gory films but even this made me cringe and turn away at some points! The film is again based around the dying 'Jigsaw' and his sidekick Amanda who play yet more distubing games with people who need to learn a valuable lesson in life. This time the games are bigger and much more disturbing! There is a great twist at the end which i didnt think was very predictble at all! It all seems to end a bit quick though and i was left a bit confused and had too sit and think about it for a while afterwards and it seems like there needs to be a Saw 4 to finish it off! But overall i loved this film better than the first two!...

DVD Description
In 2004, a low-budget horror film about a man who put people with moral failings into grisly, murderous situations became a huge hit. In 2005, the sequel scored again, upping the body count and the terror. In 2006, the franchise continued, with plenty of gore as well as an emotional story line that delved into the psychological makeup of the main characters. As SAW II concluded, Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) was dying. But that doesn't mean his penchant for playing games of torture and violence is ending. In SAW 3, the murders start occurring again, and Kerry (Dina Meyer) is back on the case, although she thinks this time it might be the work of a copycat. She's only partly right: Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the only victim to have survived both movies, has joined Jigsaw as his apprentice, leading the way through a terrifying game involving Lynn (Bahar Soomekh), a doctor in an unhappy marriage, and Jeff (Angus Macfadyen), a distraught man who is having trouble getting over the loss of his son (Stefan Georgiou) at the hands of a drunk driver. Amanda has captured Lynn and placed her in a neck brace that is linked to Jigsaw's heart monitor; she must keep Jigsaw alive or else the brace will explode. Meanwhile, Jeff is sent on a dangerous journey on which he faces all the people involved in the light penalty his boy's killer received--and it is up to him whether he will seek vengeance or offer forgiveness. Helmed by SAW II director Darren Lynn Bousman and written by original SAW screenwriter and star Leigh Whannell (with a story by Whannell and SAW director James Wan), SAW 3 is an intricately designed, gruesome thriller with a hard-driving soundtrack featuring songs by Slayer, Helmet, and All that Remains.
